Simpsons inside jokes?
Ever see a scene in the Simpsons and it seems like it's borrowing from a movie or something, but you have no idea what it might be? I keep thinking about a scene in The PTA Disbands, Episode 2F19:
Marge: And Bart isn't doing very well either. He needs boundaries and structure. There's something about flying a kite at night that's so unwholesome. [looks out window]
Bart: [creepy voice] Hello, Mother dear.
Any idea? Or if you have any puzzling scenes of your own?

Not really a joke, but it is an inside story.
One of the episodes Ken Levine worked on (??Dancin' Homer??), he named the baseball announcer Dan Hoard. The reason is during one of Ken Levine's sabbaticals from TV writing he was the play by play man for the AAA team the Syracuse Chiefs where Dan Hoard moved over to color.
For those of you in the Cincy area, yes that Dan Hoard.
