Wow, d*mn good. Next week's better be as good as the trailer makes it look. As much as the middle of this season as sucked, I still say "In Joss We Trust." This season has to end well.

Overall an enjoyable episode.
And yes.. The teaser trailer for next week looks really good. I hope the actual show is as good as the trailer made it out to be.

In the trailer for next week it said
"Don't believe anything you've heard"
Do you think that means...
Anyways, I really liked this episode. I felt so bad for Buffy when Xander was going off on Anya for sleeping with Spike. She probably felt like total dog sh*t while he was saying that stuff.
I am glad that Willow and Tara finally got back together. Willow seemed kinda lost without her.
Poor Xander...I just feel so damn bad for him. Anya can't see that what he did, he did it because he loved her more then she will ever know. And now she is a demon again, that isn't going to go over well when he finds that out.
Was it just me, or did Spike look really hot in this episode? Yummy!!

I really liked this episode too. And from the previews, I think my faith in Joss is going to be restored also.
One question, who is the 4th guy Buffy has slept with? I can only think of Angel, Riley and Spike.

Yes I missed it of course, because I set my VCR to start recording again next week. Good job me.
Oh and the other guy was when she first started college and some guy conned her into giving up the goods. Can't remember his name, but it was a one-time thing.

What started out as a light-hearted take on seeking vengeance and retribution turned into a f-ing nightmare for all of the scoobs and Buffy. Xander is in hell right about now. To know that the 2 women he really cared about have both slept with Spike, the one guy he totally detests in this planet. This whole season is about pain and misery. Even the joy of Tara and Willow at the end is setting us up for more upset. Mark my words...

Again to the people that have abandoned "Buffy" this season because their end-of-the-world-by-monster quotient wasn't satisfied, I say you're completely out of your trees.
That 5 minute drunken tryst between Anya and Spike had more heat and chemistry than a whole season's worth of Fred/Gunn or Cordy/Groo. The writers on "Buffy" always get the details right - no matter the situation. Whereas on "Angel," I always feel like the characters take a back seat to the prophecy of the week storyline.
Were crossovers allowed, I'd wish for Lorne - who has been criminally underused, if not downright ignored, this season on "Angel" - to switch shows and become a full-fledged Scoob.

But what do I know, I abandoned Buffy (and it had nothing to do with Angel!!)

anya has really grown on me. maybe it was because she always talked like such an idiot before. anyhow, for some reason, now she just seems hot! tara too, although i'm starting to get annoyed with all the little "awkward" moments between them.
buffy's picking up steam. i feel a whopper of a season ender coming up.

This may be my favorite of the season so far. People who've made a mess of their lives taking a deep breath, surveying the damage, and groping to do the right thing with each other. Lots of forward steps, lots of secrets revealed, and the beginnings of forgiveness, at least for most. Xander and Anya are breaking my heart, but then almost everyone on the show was breaking my heart tonight--
If there was too much treading water this season--and I agree there probably was--tonight was a wonderful payoff for the human side of these stories. I really felt more love toward these characters (and in some cases sadness or fear for them) then I ever remember feeling before.
The calm before the storm. A reminder of why I care about them, and what we have to lose when all hell breaks loose next week. I wish what's ahead wasn't about to happen, but I'm damned excited that it is...

Wait till next week, the episode was 2x better then the one that just aired. The UPN guys accidently sent out the wildfeed for 6x19 and I was fortunate enough to get my grubby paws on it. It will make you go speechless if you are a longtime fan of the show.
MAJOR spoilers for 5/7 Buffy (Seeing Red) :
Anyways after that... yikes. After this season is wraped up I don't think I'll be able to wait for Season 7 to start.

I just watched next week's episode, and yes, it will f-ing make you go speechless. I'm in shock over the whole thing. I'm having a hard time typing this post, fingers trembling. It's one of the most hard-hitting Buffy episodes in a long time.

Yes, next week's episode is floating around the newsgroups already, since the network made an error and fed the wrong episode over the wildfeed.
It pretty much rocks.

I think this season has the potential to be one of the best and one of the worst. I thought last night's Buffy was amazing, and it looks like next week's will be as well. Can't wait.

This episode was pretty good IMO. Interesting that even though Anya is again a demon she still feels bad for having sex with Spike. The fact that she made Spike stop his wish proves she still has feelings for him and cannot really bring herself to cast a spell.

I have a hard time calling the possibility of 7 great episodes (opening, musical, Buffy in asylum, last night, the next 3...including 2-hour season finale) this season turning it into one of the best. It is sad that they have waited until the absolute end to actually show something worthy of Buffy. The musical was the last good show for a long time...now we suddenly get the possiblity of 5 great new episodes in a row? They're usually better than this. If these last episodes are the best I will feel cheated that the middle of this season sucked donkey a$$.

Though I'll add a thought. I recently went back and watched 5 or 6 of the "bad" mid-season eps in a row with a friend and I realized that, because of the time that passed between each one, I felt like storylines got dragged out longer.
Case in point: Willow's addiction thing. I HATE this storyline, but it literally seemed to arc over about 3 episodes and then get shoved way into the background. I would have sworn there was a lot more too it.
That happened with the last season too. I remember not really liking the entire "Glory" storyline, until we sat down and watched all the Glory episodes in order. Then it really seemed to work a lot better.
Just tossing it out there...

Aside from being amused at Xanders 'fat walk' and the various boxy jackets they kept putting him in to hide his girth, I was pretty uninterested. (But I do like that he has some heft. The bulk really helps him. He wouldnt be as intimidating walking down the street ready to chop Spike into little bits if he was still as skinny as he was in the second season.)
Its been better than most this season, which still isnt saying much. Anya is heartless except when it comes to her own feelings so she loses my sympathies. Her efforts to curse/hideously torture Xander just furthered my dislike for her (no matter the amusing bouncy montage). As far as the big deal of Anya getting Spiked and the Buffy/Spike screwballfest getting revealed... I honestly dont get Xanders reaction to Buffy, to Anya yeah I understand, but he hated Angel and Buffy went for him, so why should her sleeping with Spike be such a devastating surprising thing? I would think the precedent had been set, besides there was a time when Xander had sympathies for Spike when Buffy didnt.
Oh well, I still pray for redemption of some sort. Though I'm wishing they all would die and get put out of the misery of all these awkward character arc leaps.
