Ally McBeal Cancelled

I've never really been a fan of the show, never watched it regularly, and honestly felt that pretty much every character on the show deserved a severe beating.
But I think it the show lost in when it started to hemorrhage cast members. First it lost Billy and Georgia, which seriously threw off the character dynamic. Then it lost Robert Downey Jr, and then pretty much everyone else that came on. Then Renee and Cage were gone.
It didn't really leave a lot of anchors on the show, and it went from being an ensemble cast to just Ally.

I didn't think the show had gone downhill enough to be cancelled yet. (And I would know, having never watched it.) I think they're covering up some horrible catastrophe, like Calista Flockhart got so thin that her skeleton collapsed on itself and now she's just an amorphous blob with big lips. (They still tried to film a few more episodes by covering up her absence with 20 or 30 guest stars, only 8 of which will be recurring characters).
