SNL on Comedy Central-Edited Intro?

I'm watching SNL right now and it's one when Christopher Walken hosted. It's from 92 I think. I'm almost positive there were a bunch of shots of the world trade center in the SNL opening credits during this era(I even remember seeing them a few months post September 11th) but now it seems that all shots of the WTC are now gone from the SNL opening credits. Did Comedy Central edit them out? If so, I wonder why they waited until now. I for one don't think it was the right thing to do but I do understand their motives.
