SNL 4/13: The Rock & Andrew WK

On right now....thus far.
Opening, Farrell's Bush is always good.
The Zoo show guy....hilarious!
The Scorpion King skit...okay, had some funny moments though!
I'm not a wrestling fan, but SNL has been the place where The Rock has realy been able to show his skills as an entertainer....at least those that don't require grappling with another man.

And let me be the first to ask a question that may be on the minds of many who just watched the show:
Andrew W.K.: WTF? People actually buy this ****?

andrew w.k. blew, and i think the first 1/3 of the show was great...then fell to crap... Brian Fellows was good as usual.... still, while the skits were middle of the road, The Rock was great again...too bad they didn't have better material for him...

i liked the skit where maya rudolph was singing about fred. well, i just like her anyway.
there were a few laugh moments, particularly when darrell hammond was playing the guy from hardline (it's too late for me to remember his name). vagina coast guard!
cranky.

I take back my high hopes in the first post.... the show sucked. What terrible sketches! The Rock's show from 2000 was 10x better.

Strange episode. The Rock was horrible, but the cast was great. A lot of the sketches were pretty darn funny independent of the Rock. The Rock is entertaining inside his range, but push him beyond that, and he's embarassingly bad. From his gay guy to his drunk girl to his singing ... all sad. But he did recover well from "tomb."
Andrew WK isn't even worth mentioning.
I like how they ran over time.

Best skits IMO : Hardball, America Undercover, Brian Fellow's Safari Planet, and eh, I think that is it.
The rest just wasn't very funny, and the Rock isn't a very good actor at all, but there has been far worse.
Ah, but the musical group sketch (Andrew WK) was very funny.

I liked Hardball, The woman with no Gaydar (can see why it wouldn't be funny to a lot of people on here.....) Neil Diamond and Bigfoot, Brian Fellows....uh...seen the first dumb Brian Fellows skit seen then all.

Hopefully that show pretty much tanks Andrew W.K.'s musical career here in the U.S. Good riddance.
The only sketch that I thought was reasonably funny was the drunk girl sketch. Of course as is typical of SNL these days - it went on way too long.
Why isn't Chris Kattan doing more these days? What I wouldn't give for another Mango or Peepers sketch.

The first time the Rock was on SNL, it was a classic episode. This one was not good at all. When the first sketch after the monologue is the one-joke Brian Fellow skit, you know it's gonna be a long night.
Maya Rudolph singing to Tracy Morgan = WTF?
Honk!
