I read that there are no new episodes until July 3rd, anyone else hear this?

butters = good, tweek = bad.
|
I liked it. I like Butters more than Tweak, but it's not like it really matters. I'm sure they'll find a way to do good stories with all the characters anyway.
The documentary format of the friend choosing was great, and I loved the finale. "These questions will all be answered ... right now: No, Tweak, and Miss Chokesondick." das "Thank you. What a great ... what a great ... what a great audience." |
Tweak sucks. Jimmy would have been awesome.

so South Park is nearing its end :) |
Originally posted by homeslice Maybe they'll decide to release full seasons on DVD sets now. :) |
Originally posted by darkside The way they are doing the DVDs is by far the worst marketing decision I have seen. Warner decided to change the way they did Friends, so maybe South Park will get released in season sets some day. also about this episode, I hope this Tweak thing is a gimmick and Butters is back in place next time. |
I didnt think it was very funny, but they made a good point- It really doesnt matter who fills the fourth friend space. Regardless its always a one-joke, peripheral character- Kenny was poor/muffled voice, Butters was lame, Kenny is retarded, Tweek is nervous, and so on and so on.
For the sake of being different I was hoping it would be Clyde. It isnt like his flipping off, mild personality is any more annoying or funny than Tweek, Jimmy, Kenny, Token, Pip, or Butters. Whoever fills the fourth spot really doesnt change anything since the core of the show is always Stan, Kyle and Cartman. |
Originally posted by oblio I read that there are no new episodes until July 3rd, anyone else hear this? Does anyone know anything about the "movie" date of June 21? Trey and Matt mentioned they were only doing two more seasons and then a movie which means that the next six episodes would be the last. This episode definitely rapped like a season "finale" for them with selecting a new best friend and killing Ms. Chokesondick. Are they going to fifth grade now? "It'd be nice to have someone like Towlie around to clean up messes and stuff. But, I mean, he's always so high..." We haven't seen the last of Butters! |
Originally posted by rfduncan I thought each "season" was only six episodes - when they were released on DVD the first 4 seasons spanned 6 DVDs. Does anyone know anything about the "movie" date of June 21? Trey and Matt mentioned they were only doing two more seasons and then a movie which means that the next six episodes would be the last. I also despise they way they are releasing the DVD's. I've seen them in the store with either 2 or 4 episodes on a DVD. What a rip. Plus all the introduction and commentary sucks, I just want to see the damm episode! |
Butters will still be around, but I think they might start rotating the 4th friend to stimulate story ideas. I suspect we'll see 4-5 Tweek episodes and then they will replace him.
Regarding DVDs, full-season box sets are available in the UK and Australia for anyone with a multi-region player. |
For the record
Season one: 13 episodes Season two: 18 episodes Season three: 17 episodes Season four: 17 episodes Season five: 14 episodes Season six: 6 episodes so far with more to start in June. Season six is not over yet. The DVDs stopped midway through season 2 at episode 212. Then they started mixing the episodes up on those Chef, Timmy, Holiday, etc DVDs. |
