I. Love. This. Show.
- "Most importantly, they have misjudged me." Get some, Palmer! And while you're at it, get rid of Lady McPalmer. UGH!
- While we're on the Palmers... is it possible that Lisa wasn't even raped? She had a thing against Faux?Rapist, she framed him for rape, Keith killed him, and she's been harboring guilt over Faux?Rapist's death ever since. And it finally came to a head tonight, and she melted down. IMO, this would be a neat twist from the writers. Lisa's rape is one of the things that we have known to be "true" since the very start of the show. Maybe it's not? Anyways, I'm just glad Lisa didn't get amnesia.
- "You have the right to remain silent." *BLAM!* "POLICE!" YES! That was awesome. Didn't see the bust coming at all. Please, lock up Dan's brother for a long time... his acting was criminal.
- Get some, SoulPatch! Tony kicks ass. Too bad Nina so owns him. I thought Teri was a goner for sure. I knew Dr. Phil was hosed... I just didn't think they'd wait until the end of the show.
- So the horrible people behind Palmer's campaign are... local LA businessmen?! That's it?!? Damn. I was thinking Majestic-12, or the Illuminati, or something like that.
- Mason = bringin' the funny. "Great, we're going to a Sierra Club meeting." And watching Kief vault the fence, and then stepping over the chain... great.
- Great transition, going from Teri in Kim's bright room listening to LiteAlternative music... cut to the dark, dank, DorkCave, with NotSoHeavyAlternative music blaring.

As far as Tony getting from CTU to Jack's house so quickly, I distinctly remember Jack making the drive in nearly no time at all in the very first episode when they were still trying to stick to the real time premise of the show. They still do a roughly good job at this. But these locations are indeed in awfully close proximity..
Where's Milo? When was the last time he did something?
This better come out on DVD...

In regards to the 4 minute drive, if you are driving in a marked or unmarked car with the lights and/or sirens going, you can pretty much make a large distance in 4 minutes as long as everyone yields to you.
This episode will be replayed 4/15 at 1AM and 11 PM on FX.
Here's the only thing I've heard about the season finale so far, but it will be 11PM-12AM.

This episode bugged me...and I can't quite put my finger on it.
Pure speculation:
Going by the proposed theory from a previos post - Does anyone else think that by cutting the power on that specific grid, the
character gets set free from some holding facility in the grid that the guy was supposed to shut off?
Could this just be a series of misdirections by the Drazen family to get the
character set free? (Of course, nothing goes right for the Drazen family for the past 18 hours). That Palmer and Jack are also there for "easy" pickings might have just been a bonus for the revenge-minded family.
Why couldn't Tony be a few seconds late in getting the Jack's house. Terri bugs the hell out of me. At least the part where the would-be assassin asking Terri where Kim is was realistic (to cut down on his search time), that bought Terri just enough time for Tony to mow him down. Poor Phil, we barely knew ya...
I'm guessing Kim gets her one phone call, and that how CTU will get her out of jail, and re-united with Terri. I can't believe how stupid Kim is being written.
Is Mason really a traitor or just pissed at Jack for shooting him last night? Makes you wonder if he isn't just leading Jack to slaughter. When Mason offered to drive Jack to the address, I was thinking, "No Jack, don't get in the car!" But, Jack did, and I was rolling my eyes.
The whole Palmer subplot is so uncompelling to me. How many times in a day can you hug your son after he repeatedly wants to sink your run for the presidency? This is not over the course of weeks, but one frikkin' day! I do enjoy the shenanigans of Lady McPalmer though, she does bring the conflict into play.
I dunno...this episode just left me with the "ehhh" reaction, followed by the "ughhh" reaction (when Terri was saved by Tony).
But, I'll be there for the final 5 episodes, so they must be doing something right.

I love Mason. I don't think he's a mole; just a jerk. But they certainly wanted you to be a little scared for Jack as they seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. I also like how Mason seems suspicious that the Drazens want to spend all this money just on revenge.
Madcougar-- excellent speculation! But now I may have been spoiled.

Speaking of which, this was my biggest problem with the episode. Maybe this is an L.A. thing, but the cops do not come to MY house when my burglar alarm goes off, shut it off from a panel inside the house and then go "check the connections around the house"! Is the L.A.P.D. on the Lo-Jack and ADT payroll now?

Remember that he was a pain in the beginning - Jack tranquilized him. He could very well be "higher up" guy Jack knows must be in CTU. Who else have we met that it could be except his old boss who said that Jamie could be trusted?

My guess is he's still alive. When the assassin first got shot, I thought it was the doctor before they revealed it to be Tony.
The drug raid was a nice twist. I did not see that coming at all.
I guess they have already established that Jack lives very close to CTU.
I am surprised that the alarm going off in the house wouldn't trigger a call to CTU. You would think they would be monitoring that kind of activity, especially with his family missing. But Tony & Nina seem like the only people at CTU at all concerned with the safehouse massacre.

Overall, a pretty good episode. Like everyone says, there are a lot of minor mistakes, but this is television.

A quote from the yahoo article that is linked in this thread about the season finale: It's like the ending of 'The Sixth Sense,"'
They are all dead and playing the terorist game in the afterlife!
As for the show, quick remarks:
- I also wish they would've killed Terry.
- The drug scene was awesome.
- I doubt that Mason is the mole since he is too obvious. The "step over the chain" scene was one of the best of the episode imo, showing the difference in style and also implicit disapproval that Mason has for Bauer's methods.
