Need help with "Beatles fan" show title

I need help with the name of a show that I saw a few years ago on PBS. It was about a guy who lived in an apartment in New York. I think he was a writer. He had a set of drums set up in the living room, and he was a big Beatles fan. One of the shows was about him buying John Lennon's guitar in an auction (or so he thought). I only saw two episodes, and I always wondered if it was available on VHS, or even better, DVD. If you have any information on this show, please help me. Thanks!

No, thats not it. Thanks for replying though. The show I am talking about was a comedy. I know that Peter Tork of The Monkees made a brief guest appearance on one episode. I remember the guy always wanted a pair of Beatle boots since he was a kid. It was a funny show, and I wish I could find the name of it. Please help!

Wow, if IMBD doesn't list it, that show is really obscure!

I found out the name of the show from another source. It was called The Steven Banks Show. As far as I know, it is not available on DVD or VHS. Thanks to the people that posted replies.
