first i have to get this out of the way....donna moss gives me the hot!! i don't know why tonight was any different then other episodes but for some reason i thought she looked extra yummy tonight. anyway, i thought that it was a pretty good episode. we got to see much more of donna tonight and josh secretly did a good thing for her so that scores points that will lead to the "gonna-happen-eventually are you listening AS??" relationship between the two. i also liked seeing more of charlie and loved his point about the 'advance' as i am having that problem too right now. all in all another great episode.

Not once has this show disappointed me, and tonight was no different. I feel bad for those who don't watch because they hate Democrats. They really are missing out on incredible television. I expect nothing but perfection from this show, and yet I'm in awe each week when they achieve it.

As for Donna, her breasts grew about three sizes for this episode. I don't know if that's a new trend or a one-time thing. Hopefully the former. They've done a great job making her not look like a freaky bird-lady (like she did in early episodes and on SportsNight).

When was she on Sports Night? I noticed Dave from last week's episode. When are we going to see Kim? (Kayla Blake)

I think she was a makeup person for Dan or Casey in only one episode.

she was casey's wardrobe girl on the episode where he went on the view. she made him feel guilty about not acknowledging their contributions. it was the first season's christmas episode. seeing kayla blake again would be great. she too is hot.

Just when I was starting to really dislike Hoynes (sp?), Sorkin turns it all around and makes him a stright-shooting, honorable guy. I was actually rooting for him, and I uttered a "yes!" when the decision was made to keep him on the ticket.

Excellent writing and first rate performances, as usual.

BTW - the creators of 24 should look at the previews of this week's West Wing which played at the end of last week's show to learn how to create a good promo without giving away the entire damn_plot!

Nice episode. I loved Leo's reaction when CJ and Sam said that they didn't think a recovering alcoholic could be Veep.

Charlie's "advance" debate with the Pres was funny as well.

Donna was looking particularly bouncy last night.

A conservative friend of mine who never watches the show was hanging out last night when my roommate and I were watching it. I laughed when he said that Fitzwallace (when they had his picture out) resembles John Amos.

Evidentally, the State of New Mexico wants to reassure us all that there was no actual nuclear accident Wednesday night... (Even though it was supposed to occur in Idaho...)

Remember, 'West Wing' is fictional, says New Mexico

Um, thanks...

I came in late and missed the set up to all those Bond jokes. It sounded like Barlett was complaining that when you shake a martini (with ice presumably) you dilute the Vodka with water. Did I get it right. What did I miss? Did he say "you bruise" the liquor when you shake it?

Kayla Blake is very attractive. I believe she played the porn star on Sports Night.

Who from Sports Night has appeared on the Wing?

Kayla played Kim, the hot chick with hardly any lines.

As for who has appeared? Pretty much everyone, escept the major stars. Felicty Huffman was on as a not-so-nice lady. Ted McGinley runs the political debate show that Ainsley appears on periodically. All three of Elliot, Chris, and Dave. Lisa Edelstein (Bonnie "I've Never Been to Spain" Bernstein) was a semi-regular at the beginning. And then, of course, Donna. That's all I can think of now, but I'm sure there are more. Not to mention countless plot devices, from Jeremy's/Sam's parents' divorce (after the same number of years) to flashback letter-writing, etc.

I vaguely remember Robert G. in an early episode of West Wing but not 100percent sure.

So no Josh or his quirky girlfriend. Josh was also in The American President so maybe he's covered.

I thought the actor playing Josh's porn star girlfriend was very good.

Just to add to das' post:

Ted McGinley:
Sports Night - Gordon, Dana's ex-fiance
West Wing - Mark Gottfried, host of Capitol Beat

Felicity Huffman:
Sports Night - Dana Whitaker
West Wing - Ann Stark, the majority leader's chief of staff I think

Lisa Edelstein:
Sports Night - Bobbie Bernstein, alternate co-host that Dan apparently slept with before which he had forgotten
West Wing - Laurie, the call girl Sam hooked up with in the pilot.

Jenny, Jeremy's short-lived porn star girlfriend was played by Pamela Segall I believe.

I was entertained when Hoines started talking about his fascination with beer during his college days.

He neglected to mention his leadership role in a franternity (go Otter)!

Boon: They can't do that do that to our pledges.
Otter: Only we can do that to our pledges.

Otter: Mrs. Wormer, I'm so glad you could come.
Marion Wormer: Cut the crap. Give me a drink.

Bluto: My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.
Otter: Better listen to him, Flounder. He's pre-med.

AND AT HIS MOST PRESIDENTIAL:

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests -- we did. [winks at Dean Wormer] But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg -- isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!"

AND FINALLY:

"Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part."

I loved everyone kept reaching out for Charlie's check, and they were mad because he paid his Visa with the advance instead of going to Banana Republic. That was pretty sweet that he bought him the dvd player and dvd but if he paid that much he got ripped off. The prez needs to check out dvdtalk.

Google is a search engine, like any other search engine, you just type something in a space. Message Boards are more advanced.

Including the more realistic fact that Josh is intelligent, just not familiar. Using google search once is enough to be able to repeat it again. The same with a message board. He wasn't unable to use the board; he was just unfamiliar with it the first time.

What was it about this episode, I had the exact same (impure)thoughts. Maybe it was her clothing, she did look "larger." Not that it matters at all with Ms. Moss.

Glad to see some more Charlie in this episode. Bond, DVD players, Banana Republic and everyone willing to take Charlie's check. More than grand story arcs and politics, this is the heart of The West Wing and really why I think its great and continues to be my favorite show on TV. Despite what's going on, there's these moments which just bring a smile to my face, classic Sorkin moments.

As a former Hoynes opponent, I now love the guy.

And I have to agree with the West Wing teaser thought. I watch those teasers and think "Hey, thats looks cool" but I know that the episode will be so much more than those scenes. Sometimes it not even about the A story or such a small portion as to be almost insignificant on its own.

And Donna's hot.

Is On Her Majesty's Secret Service worth $200 dollars? I think Charlie would have gotten ripped off.

I'm pretty sure it's bad form to post on the messages boards when you work for the President of the US of A.

And how did Bond get introduced into the mix in the first place?

The President was e-filing Charlie's tax return. He estimated Charlie would get a $700 tax refund, and Charlie agreed, saying he would pick up a $499 progressive scan DVD player with enough left over to buy On Her Majesty's Secret Service from eBay, to which Bartlett commented on Bond's general wussiness in drink ordering. Of course, it turned out Charlie owed $400
