God you are sensitive about Ellen, Daytripper. Try to take some deep breaths & pull panties out of its current wad.

I guess I had to run my "single" suggestion by you again since you seemed to ignore it last time.

I am glad you agree about award shows but I hardly find a standing ovation at the end of it to be the all-encompassing acceptance of Ellen as a funny person. Guess it is just me (and the majority of the U.S. population).

I guess you will never see my point that you asked a general question so you got general responses. Yes, believe it or not, if you want to adhere to a specific subject, you should ask a specfic question. You must have trouble grasping this. It appears that all the other posters here must also need everything "spelled out for them" as well (in your threads at least).

As far as my love for the movie Popeye goes...I loved it as a child. What can i say? What is sad is that you love Ellen...as an adult. Good work detective!

I leave you now to continue this silliness with someone else. I am even giving you the last word. Have fun.
Ever heard of a little thing called cause and effect?
It's like banging my head up against the wall. Since
you don't get my point, and I will never get yours (thank
God), I'm so glad you decided to have one last final word
about Ellen. You and the majority of America that is.
Maybe you can invite them over to watch "Popeye"
with you.

2 truths about Ellen Degeneres

1. She isn't as funny as she "used to be" pre-tv in her Stand up days.

2. She's been milking the lesbian thing since her last show's ratings dipped and it was eventually canceled. People stopped watching once they realized she wasn't going to be kissing chicks on the show.

The reality is....NO ONE CARES that she's lesbian so all she has left is her "talent" and it's sorely lacking.

I'm sorry Daytripper. It's just my own opinion.

O.K., does any know if CBS is planning on airing the previously filmed/original episodes of "The Ellen Show"?

Hey Daytripper, I agree Ellen is a very funny lady. Her hosting duties at the Emmys was fantastic and very appropriate considering what had happened in the US. I think regardless of them being celebrities it is a very difficult job to host any awards show (think of how many people have bombed - Letterman at the Oscars anyone?) and that she did it with that much class she got a standing ovation from the audience. The fact that she is gay is irelevant - half of Hollywood is in or out of the closet!

I just wish CBS supported her a hell of a lot more. It isn't her talent that is lacking, it's the lack of support for her show. Maybe she needs new writers or a new premise but still, she is one funny chick!

Please see my first post above... I think it answers your question mostly. I think CBS will show the remaining episodes starting when the show begins airing again next fall. Many networks cut back on the # of episodes they ordered this year because 9/11 updates, etc. forced most networks to push back their schedules/debuts/series. So some shows have unaired episodes that may never been seen since they've already been replaced mid-season. Ellen is on the schedule for CBS next fall.
