Combat Missions - 3/27

Another great ep! This show can't lose. Kinda like Bravo, who comes through with a total victory. Maybe this will silence the talk of how Bravo always "squeaks by." They won both training missions (Steve "Pinata" Claggett really took one... well, more like ten or twenty... for the team), and rocked the combat mission. When I saw that the combat mission was yet another police-type mission, I was pretty sure Bravo would take it. Favorite moments:

- Steve Claggett refusing to go down on the Grid, and earning Bravo the ability to smoke Charlie on the second time around.

- Dexter talking about how it went down just like in the movies... the black guy died first... and talking about how he tried to save Jeff.

- Charlie's jockstrap dismissal, and Rudy's comments.

The Charlie retrospective was kind of "eh." As were the musical stylings of Dexter Fletcher.

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

no more Justin
no more Cade

NO MORE WEB!!!!!

mmmmm he looked good in his briefs!!

did you see Justin at the end, man, he's got a belly.

Very good show, but I was so ticked when Cade said, "Yeah, that's him when recognizing Santos. Then they sit there and watch the freakin' truck come up and the guy gets out and they do nothing! They must've been in a freaken hurry to not pay attention to detail.

But I was amused when they were on the way back to the camp talking in the truck, making fun of the SGM ... "you sure that's the guy?" IT IS NOW! that was funny.

Just to be anal (it's what I'm best at)... the guy debriefing them was Don Anderson, retired LAPD SWAT officer who was awarded LAPD's Medal of Valor, and consultant to the show. Civilian, but no less a hero than the soldiers.

Are these guys REALLY special ops and swat? It seemed really odd to me as well that they would totally screw up that mission and ignore the guy driving up in the truck. I've only see a few episodes of this show but I guess they just do stuff sometimes that make me think they arent really SEALs or Special Forces or SWAT or whatever.

Just because someone is a member of the spec-ops or SWAT community doesn't make them infallible. If they felt that they'd already made a positive ID on their primary objective, then maybe they didn't see the need to really examine the people that had just arrived except checking them for weapons.
