The Horror Channel

Why haven't they come up with this yet? Just think of it horror movies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Can't beat it. They have a channel for just about everything else, why not this? I think i'll send Direct tv an e-mail.

They have... I've read about the Horror Channel or Fright Channel, some name like that. I do believe it is based out of Canada and starts up this year. Sattelite services should, most likely, pick it up.

We already have a horror channel ... it's disguised as the Sci Fi Channel. Checking right now, I see Roger Corman's Frankenstein Unbound followed by Terror Tract followed by The Colony and then Bride of Chucky. The list goes on.

I too heard the one out of Canada. Hopefully the US will pick it up sometime soon.

The station is called Scream
It started in Sept, I think.

If it ever does, I wouldn't expect it to be the same or as good. From what I've read, it's the same problem that the Space channel has: They show too many shows and movies that are already owned by someone else here in the states. So between blackouts and fees they would have to pay it wouldn't be worth it.

Has anyone noticed that these sc-called dedicated channels..SCi Fi, Cooking, Soaps, etc are about 40% what they're supposed to be and 60% INO-FRIGGINMERCIAL!!!!!

I HATE INFOMERCIALS.......

And I fear this new "Horror Channel" will end up this way to.

If the SCi Fi channel alone would play MORE Sci Fi it would be worth it!

That is what I was thinking "really, isn't the Sci-Fi channel really pretty much also a horror/fright channel?"

Yeah, but I think the Horror/Scream/Fright channel, whatever its name may be, is suppossed to be uncut, airing films like a pay cable movie station? That is a big differance.

That's the impression I get too.
I believe the tv shows they air are also unedited (no added commercials). I got a couple episodes of Ray Bradbury off Scream, and they're over 23 minutes each (the same episodes off Sci-fi are 20m, 21 tops).
