PTI: Pardon the Interruption

We've had a few threads in the past talking about how kickass this show is, and I think it's high time we discuss it regularly. I rush home from work every day to see it. Tony's obsession with global warming and the polar ice caps is a riot. ESPN has a bona fide winner on their hands. It's frustrating when it gets bumped around from the first round of some minor tennis/gold tournament.

yeah, i would have to agree. nothing beats rushing home from teaching maniacal children all day to see wilbon and kornheiser go at each other. i agree that tony and his 'coming flood' schtick is hilarious. more PTI!!!!

i was mao at TK's bit about global warming. You can only go so far north before you're swimming in the arctic!

i love this show so much, and they both are hilarious because they both know each other's weak spots.

definitely think we should have a discussion about every show because this show is so sweet.

BTW, yesterday's show was show#100...hard to believe it's been on for that long already.

i also find it hilarious when TK makes fun of "the dopey talking mailbox".

It's too bad that the ratings are going down steadily every month.

you guys should listen to TK's radio show on ESPN radio every morning.

It's like a preview of whats going to be on PTI, except without Wilbon.

(although he does call in every once in a while)

Anyone notice when they have Dickie V on, and he goes over the limit, it says "OT, Baby" on the time indicator? I love this show.

This is a great show but the ratings arent a huge thing I would think it's 5:30 et what else are you gonna put on. Also who do you think is the best replacement when they need one. I personally think DA (david Aldrege).

definitely. DA is the best replacment (preferably for wilbon) because DA and tony get along well and they can still crack jokes at each other.

I was pleasantly surprised by DA's substitution. I hate the NBA, and haven't been enamored of his analysis anyway, which made me believe I wasn't going to like it. I was wrong - he was rather good.

Great show. Actually made the Tivo season pass list!

PTI is excellent, excellent!! It's like Siskel & Ebert were like in the 70's on t.v. I love it because you see a list of what they are going to talk about and how time too. This way if they are talking about golf for 5 min. I know to switch the channel and when to come back.

Unless things have changed, at least here in Atlanta, we don't get TK's show. I usually listen to it in the mornings at work through ESPN.com

And he's always ragging on Wilbon's family. 5 Good Minutes with Norman Chad is great, but I agree that Aldridge is the better co-host.
