Survivor 4 - Food Sources

* * * S P O I L E R S * * *

It seems to me that they will have it easier than the other Survivor's as far as food goes.

Some of the foods on the island are coconuts, papaya, taro and bread fruit.
This beats rice and the mush S3 contestants were eating.

Wouldn't it be cool to have cannibalism on Survivor?

Instead of voting someone off, they have to eat them.

Or have them get really hungry and kill and eat Jeff Probst.

Not only that but they look rusty too. I hope no one cuts themselves or they may have to do the first amputation on Survivor.

Boy, that brings me back to when I lived in Brazil. You can literally live off of coconut water quite easily. Papaya isn't bad but get old quickly. But the bread fruit? Uggh. Just looking at the picture of the person cutting it was enough to make me sick.

if they're on some deserted island in the south pacific, are they under any legal jurisdiction? What would happen if they killed someone in their tribe and ate him/her?

Finally, a Survivor season where vegetarians would have an advantage.

Are there any vegetarians in this cast? There was in the past two.

I could see a vegetarian thriving quite happily on this island while the meat-eaters whine about needing "protein".

If it was a Fox show you'd probably have your wish in another year...

They have chickens ! I remember once when I lived in Thailand my parents friends took me out to stroll around the forest for a while to view exotic birds - and wouldn't you know it; the first thing we saw was a fooking chicken - ALOT of chickens. They tend to escape and create a population VERY quickly, this happens alot in areas where keeping your own stock of chickens is commonplace. I know they made a big deal about not getting rations of food, but with fish/vegetables/fowl readily available in the area I don't think they will be hurting that badly.
