After seeing Kiss perform during the Olympics closing cermonies, all I could think of was how people all over the world must be looking at the U.S. and thinking we are a bunch of carnival freaks.
I mean Kiss was fine if you were 14 in 1977, but Cheesis Cripes, whose idea was it to drag those clownish 60 year olds out to represent America for the entire to see?!?
THIS was the best we could think of or come out with?!?
Embarrassing, that's all I can say, embarrassing.

Hate to tell you this, but KISS had one of the last few years highest grossing world concert tours of the year awhile back. Everybody around the world knows KISS. What do you want, Josh Groban?

Whatever. KISS is one of the most popular bands in the entire world. Frankly, I think they suck, but it's naive to deny that they're one of the most recognizable performers in the eitre world.

Good grief, I went into my kitchen to check and see if the Winter Olympic Closing Ceremony planners didn't steal it so they could put it into their Closing Ceremony tonight.
Did anyone ever expect Kiss to be playing at an Olympic event? I saw some pretty bad lip syncing, but some of the spectacle was cool, but some of it bordered on Moulin Rouge. It was nice in the beginning, but it just got to be too much!
The Grobin/Church duet with the ice dancing pair was pretty good.
Wasn't too crazy about Bon Jovi or Christina Aguilera (what was she not wearing?)
At least the new head of the IOC seems to be pretty cool, unlike that ol' crotchety Samuranch.
