JJ on HBO

Crikey! What a performance by Janet Jackson on HBO. She is just stellar and in top form--lip synching or not. I'm jealous and want to know her personal trainer

Janet was about 2 seconds away from having that guy blow his load on her head.

Whoever came up with the idea of having cameras in her changing room should get a medal.

If you see an Asian looking guy holding a grey sweater in seat 4 row 55 section CCC (on the floor to the right (as you look at the stage) of the sound/light superstructure in the middle of the floor)...that's me.

I was there last night, but being so far back made it pretty hard to see much of anything that was on the stage.

It was a decent concert, but there was too much bass (sounds much better on TV) and a few of those backstage shots translated into dead air on stage. I also almost got into a fight because I told someone in front of me to get down off the chair.

They had a few big screens up on the sides so you could better see what was going on on the stage, but if I wanted to watch TV...

The HBO concert has been playing here about 35 minutes so far. Haven't seen myself yet. Maybe I'll have to get the DVD.

And she did look great!

I only caught the first hour. One trip to the dressing room was all I got. Anyone know when it'll be repeated?
Three cheers for the opening credit sequence There should have been a title that read "...And Introducing The Jackson Two!"

Forgot to mention, that they didn't show any of the video clips (preshow or in the dressing room) at the concert itself!

Also, if you watched very closely, you might have seen a "blooper".

Right after the fireworks went off, the curtain was supposed to fall down from right to left. You can see this in the shot of the fireworks at the beginning of the show. However, something went wrong and the curtain got stuck right after it revealed Janet. Then a little more fell down and it stopped again. Then some guys came out and yanked it down the rest of the way, and the music started and the light platforms went down. But after a couple minutes, they stopped the show and ran off stage.

Since this was going to be for TV, they decided to restart the concert. So after about 15 minutes, they started everything again (but without the fireworks) and the curtain was pulled up all at once (as you can see by the cut they made right after the fireworks went off).

It was kind of funny, but lucky for them it wasn't really live.

That same thing happened at her final show in Ft. Lauderdale I went to in October, but of course, after chopping it down, the show went on like normal. The other three times I saw it, it went off just fine. Guess it's just a random failure. As far as the topless shots, I posted in the other thread that those were in fact, a body double, not Janet. But the pants (and panties)-free shots in the dressing room were the real deal...heheh.
