Wonder years and Topangrack

Wonder Years was the better show. Topanga was hotter because she had the curves. Winnie is hot now as an adult, but was not as a child actress.

I'd still hit Topanga. More cushion for the pushin'.

I never liked The Wonder Years. Maybe I should give it another shot.

Watch it straight through from the beginning. Seasons 4 and 5 are the strongest.

I'd go with 3 and 4. 3 contained the incredible episodes with Mr. Collins, among other notables, while 4 had "The Accident" and "Graduation", two of the series's best episodes.
In the 5th season, Savage was starting to become visibly self-conscious, something he wasn't at all in the 3rd and 4th.

It's not bad but it is no wonder years ! Wonder years is awesome

Boy meets world is decent but has many annoying traits

Don't kill the thread that won't die!... especially when it's mine!

I wouldn't mind getting the Boy Meets World sets, but I know the scorn and derision I'd get from my girlfriend would make it totally not worth it. However, we did watch a bootleg of Wonder Years last year. Blazed through like 4 seasons in about 10 days.

Finished up season one of BMW and going to watch the other two seasons. Great that Lionsgate is re-releasing these sets and season 4 is scheduled to come out in December. I grew up with BMW so i didi enjoy it more than TWY. Even though Topanga is hotter, she was a total cocktease:

I never saw Wonder Years. I grew up with Boy Meets World. Topanga was my big crush way back then.

Bumping this old thread, but I think they are 2 different shows. I didn't watch every episode of Boy Meets World, but it seemed to me as just a Friday Night Sitcom that mixed in alittle drama every once in a while. Anyone who grew up with Boy Meets World in the 90's can correct me if I'm wrong saying it's more of a sitcom then a drama?

Wonder Years was on (I believe Monday or Tuesday Night during it's run) and strived to be a drama mixed in with comedy. Every episode was about Kevin Arnold's growth as a kid, and many of us who were the same age in the 1980's really related to each episode.

The real question for anyone who grew up in the 80's was: Alyssa Milano or Danica McKellar? I would go with Milano back then.

Wonder Years was a drama with characters and events that viewers can identify with in that time period. I'd rather compare it to Freaks and Geeks.

I couldn't find a standalone Boy Meets World thread in TV Talk, so I'm going to post this here. I started listening to Pod Meets World, a Boy Meets World rewatch podcast with Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle. I'm only two episodes in and I'm liking it so far. Apparently Ben Savage didn't want to do the podcast, so he's not in it, but they do talk about him a lot. https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-...orld-98589488/

Looks like the pod is now on YT. An episode showed up on my feed. It's only the first couple of episodes so far though. Not sure why their posting videos this late unless the audio pod isn't getting many listens.

I wonder what Maitland Ward is up to, these days. ;)

Every show seems to be doing a podcast now, and it's mostly with the C-list stars. None of the above have a regular TV show.

Will does a ton of voice over work, currently on Vox Machina on Amazon. Rider doesn't act anymore; he's behind the camera now.

Yes, I've looked at their IMDB. My point still stands - they have no day jobs like most of the "rewatch" podcasts shows. Savage probably isn't interested in such a small payday when he is trying to go into Politics (he recently ran and lost in West Hollywood, I beleive). I can't imagine these pay very well and listeners probably drop off pretty hard after 10 or so episodes. I've tried a few, even with shows I love, and it's just becomes boring. It's almost like every show from the 90s/2000s has one now. Does anyone really care about a New Girl rewatch podcast?

I’ve listened to bits and pieces of the podcast. It’s fun now and again but not something I listen to regularly. Makes sense why Ben Savage isn’t involved if he’s pursuing a career in politics.

Re: Wonder Years vs. Boy Meets World

I've listened to part of the first podcast. Nothing wrong with it or anything I just can't really spend that kind of time on a podcast when I have a large backlog of other media to watch, read, play, etc. Maybe if it was really short. Kind of like You Tube videos that are really long. There has to be a GOOD reason for it otherwise I may overlook it. I really can't listen to an hour-long podcast for a half hour show.

Boy Meets World wins in a vs match. (Never saw the Wonder Years)

I have a long commute and was listening to it fairly regularly when it first came out, but I stopped listening after football season started and I started back on fantasy football podcasts. The podcasts with William Daniels and William Rust were really good. I don't see why Ben Savage couldn't come on for one episode though.

I've wondered about that. You don't have to be on it all the time yet not even once or twice for some key episodes?
