Some sort of fall from a height of around 6 stories... Details are sketchy.

Damn shame. He always seemed like a cool guy... And he was signed for a role in Bruce Willis's next film...

Oh my god. This is so very very sad. He was one of my absolute favorite parts of Xena (I'm from the camp of Xena fans that wished she would be with Ares) and his talent and presence will be missed forever. My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time - I know he truly was a kind and wonderful person, and it is such a tragedy that his life was cut so short. I just don't have words to express how tragic this is.

I only watched those shows every once in a while. He was the "evil" god/hero, right? Too bad. He seemed talented, and had quite a physique (if he is who I think he was in the show - he was Ares, right?)

Yep, that's him. According the article above, he auditioned on a whim, and was a professional rugby player before Xena... He seemed to be quite good at the combat stuff...

That's too bad. I didn't watch much of either show but he seemed like a nice guy.

Boy, that is really sad. He sounds like a really nice family man, too. He was working on "Warriors of Virtue 2". What a sad waste.

I actually caught Xena in its early seasons, and I have to say he was my favorite part of the show, would have been great to see what he could have done out of the Xena universe.

Oh man! He was awesome as Ares. Truly a sad day for us Herc/Xena fans. :-(

This is sad news indeed. I enjoyed his portrayal of Aries and enjoyed some of the humor he often brought to the character, especially when stripped of his powers. The farming episode stands out in my mind.
