JERRY RETURNS!!!! Yes!

Hopefully this will be the end of the Carter's Mom story-arc.

Luca has rage issues, but with justification.

Mark's relapse will make his exit alot easier.

Was anyone else just confused by the teaser for after the olympics?? It showed nothing, but it had carter saying "come on Abby" ...?

Oh yeah, and i saw on ET tonight that BENTON WILL BE RETURNING for at least one episode possibly two. No details yet, but he said they've wrote him into one... Sounds like maybe a season finale appaearance, or maybe part of the Mark-exit story line.

I knew Abby was going to get a whupping because her battered wife neighbor was nothing but trouble, damn glad she "only" suffered superficial injuries that she'll recover from, though she'll be a bit gun-shy and antsy.

I have to wonder if Luka might get charged for assault, but given this all went down in a bar/pub, it'll probably blow over quick. You gotta love having Luka on your side of a fight, he's always quick to put down the threat (last season he got off killing a would-be mugger/attacker with a self-defense angle, but Abby was scared of him after that).

And if it couldn't get any more worse for Mark Greene, his brain is going haywire on him.

I can't blame Elizabeth for trying to send Rachel home.

Carter making amends with his mom was a nice island to retreat to while the rest of the ER was getting sick or pummelled.

I'm wondering if they'll pick up with the storyline of the girl that's gaining weight due to some unsavory touching by the new step-father.

Can't believe Kubiak, I mean, Jerry is back in the ER (just in time to eat the nasty bagels).

Jerry better be back for good
Luca better not get into trouble
Abby better move or get something for defense (baseball bat, karate lessons etc)

No one else is concerned about this teaser they showed?? They're shocking someone and carter says come on abby, but then they show a clip of her perfectly fine... seems odd to me. Why go to the trouble of having "come on abby" being the only dialouge in the teaser if it isn't something relevant...

I thought Jerry was banned from the ER for the rocket launcher incident.

That Weaver, what a B*tch. She goes around yelling at everyone about the food and then eats it herself? Food poisoning served her right.

Korday recovered from the flu pretty fast. Wasn't this episode supposed to take place the day after last weeks?

I'm also glad Jerry's back, the guys been gone forever, I almost forgot about him. The rocket launcher incident just banished him to the graveyard shift (or whatever shift the er regulars weren't working)

I'm glad Luca kicked that guys a$$, a little justice for that jerk. I was hoping Luca would've dragged him down to the police station, but then I guess he (Luca) would have been charged with battery.

My that six months in Croatia (or where ever he went) sure went by fast. (unless he flew from Europe to Chicago to help out in the er for the night )

Does anyone else see Luca and Abby getting back together before long, they seemed pretty chummy tonight and then he goes and defends her at the end.

It looks more and more likely that Mark's departure will be by way of death. Maybe Benton and Dr. Ross will return for the funeral.

That sure seems to be what they're moving towards. Bringing back as much of the old cast as possible for a funeral/last goodbye would be the perfect made for May sweeps event.

Since they kinda went out of the way to say there would be no lasting marks on Abby's face, I figure she will be fine in the next episode. I thought the relevance was that Abby was stunned into inaction by who the patient was...my guess being probably the wife beater (put there by either Luca or his wife), maybe his wife, a slight possibility of it being Luca himself (the guy gets even for the bar incident). Whatever happens, I'm betting it will end up with Abby blaming herself for starting a nasty chain of events and fighting the urge to drink.

I could be waaay off...but that's my take on it.

Same reason Seinfeld isn't on DVD yet........... syndication revenue. There's more money to be made by rerunning ER on TNT right now than there is in DVD. Once people get sick of watching ER on TV, NBC (or whoever) will market the ER DVD, probably as a way to get reacquainted with the show or some crap like that.

ER's syndication rights are actually owned by warner brothers i'm pretty sure. NBC would have basically no say in it.

But i'd definatly buy this set in a second. ER is without a doubt my favorite drama.

Yeah i know I just posted it FYI ...

A set for ER will never happen though... 26 episodes per season at about 45-50 minutes a peice, that would be about a 10 DVD set probably, well up into the 100$ range... its been on for 9 seasons... I love this show, but that would be alot to drop for it.

Region 1 always gets screwed when it comes to TV on DVD. In Japan you can buy something like the first 6 seasons of ER on DVD. I've never understood this ridiculous fear that selling tv shows on DVD makes any significant difference in ratings. Only the most hardcore fans would even consider buying a complete season of a TV show on DVD. These people usually tape them all anyway. Have The X-Files and Buffy been harmed in syndication because of the DVDs? Selling them on DVD seems like a way to make some serious $$$ by feeding another market - the hardcore fan.

It's really sort of rare for non-science fiction TV shows to be put out on home video -- VHS or DVD. Or at least with any serious effort at a complete run.

ALso, I would think that syndication would cut into the revenue for video, than video would cut into the revenue for syndication.

Ferexample, I won't be getting the "Star Trek - The Next Generation" box sets because I've seen the episodes so many times in syndication I don't really have much interest in owning them for the price they're asking. But owning something on video doesn't mean I won't watch it on broadcast TV.

Umm, hello X-Files? I think ER would have a pretty decent sell-thru.

I remember reading in one the chat transcripts somewhere that they released the ER pilot on video and it did not sell well, and they are using that as part of the basis for not releasing other episodes.

A) I dont' recall the pilot ever coming out on Video... so i'm guessing it was some half assed VHS edition back in 95 that didn't get any marketing whatsoever...

B) Thats a pretty stupid reason to base the DVDsets on ... Do they honestly think that DVD hasn't changed the market at all??

Yeah Xfiles does sell well, you've got a point. And the StarTrek sets will probably sell well too.

I really hope they just don't try to throw Abby and Carter together again especially since it's not like they are even trying to do anything with Susan and their relationship. It could be something really great because she really understands him.

It almost seemed as if this was the only way Luka could express his feelings for Abby. Just by the way she looks at him as well, it doesn't seem quite over.

Does anyone have a website that does give away upcoming spoilers for ER?

Tvguide uses cookies to determine your viewing area, so even if i had a link it would still kick you out to the frontpage. Just go to tvguide.com, then Listings, then you'll have to give your zip and choose your cable provider.. then the rest is pretty easy. Just find ER in the schedule, click on it, and it'll give you a synopsis for the episode you clicked on.

Right now it'll be of no help cause TVguide only does up to two weeks in advance, and so you'll just see olympics on there right now.

I just remembered something HUGE that everyone including myself missed about Abbey in last week's episode.

Abbey was drinking wine when she was attacked by the husband. That's right, they didn't even call attention to it. She is officially off the wagon. I specifically remember her taking a big drink of the wine when the husband fist came into her apartment. A major plot development and we didn't even notice it.
