I agree. Most fans I've met consider this their favorite episode. If you repeat the next thing I'm about to type, I will deny it and claim it was inserted by a reckless mod: when I won the SBTB "Trivia to the Max" championship in Chicago at the end of the original run, they did a Top 5 episode thing, and "The Last Dance" was the clear winner.

Toad: Also, what happened here: did Kelly go to do some model thing, which then brought in the motorcycle chick as her replacement? But wasn't Jessie also gone??? I always felt there was like a 2-year gap in the story -- maybe I just haven't caught ALL the episodes (which I vehemently refuse to believe, as I am a SBTB geek).
Ok, this is what I've heard is the deal with the "Tori Episodes" - the dark times of SBTB. Kelly and Jessie wanted to leave the show to do other acting gigs, so the producers decided to film a final graduation episode before they left. This is why evil Tori is not in the graduation episode. When K&J left, they had only filmed half of a season. So, enter the lord-of-darkness-on-a-motorcycle to stand in so the producers could fill out the season. Kelly and Jessie never came back for a last hurrah in the graduation episode -- the "Tori Episodes" were taped after they had already left.

Here's the strange and controversial part - How were they aired? The "Tori Episodes" were aired every other episode along with the previously taped shows with Kelly and Jessie. Supposedly, the plots of the episodes were taking place at the same time. The producers wanted to make it look like Jessie and Kelly never left, and Tori was just conveniently never in a scene with either of them. Then they tacked on the graduation episode at the end to tie it all up (ex Tori). [personal note: I self-indulgently imagine that Tori wasn't in the grad episode because she was too stupid and got kicked out of bayside and forced into hard labor in Thailand.]

The idea that the "Tori Episodes" were supposed to take place at the same time as the K&J episodes is ridiculous and creates so many continuity problems, but that's the scoop. Death to Tori!

The "Tori Episodes" had one redeeming quality...several of them featured Bridgette Wilson as Ginger the airhead.

I thought of another favorite today: When Zack and Screech are in charge of making the video yearbook, but Zack instead makes a dating tape. A classic.

One I don't like -- "Running Zack", with the weirdo Indian/Surfer. Didn't like that one.

I also like any episode with Mr. Tuttle.

Red Dog -- I had no idea that was Bridgette Wilson, but I thank you for refreshing my memory of that hot babe. One day I'll whoop Pete Sampras and steal her back...

I also like the one where Zack and Slater fight over the new girl at school.
Also the one where Zack and the gang find that money in the mall.
Also the one where everyone cuts class and Zack gets stuck in detention at tells Slater he'll find his way out of it.
Also the one where this new girl joins the wrestling team.
And i enjoyed alot of the college years episodes.

I hope this show makes it on DVD, with Beverly Hills 90210 also.

Which reminds me I have the soundtrack with all the fluffy songs they sang as Zack Attack heh. Of course it wasn't them singing.

A few years back I actually use to have a huge SBTB website back when I got webspace and bandwidth for free. :)

You mean to tell me that Slater and Jessie weren't singing?!?!?! You're crazy!

The "missing Jessie" episodes

Oddly enough, I've seen most the shows mentioned in this thread in the last few weeks.

What ever happened to Jessie in the "Zak Attack" show with Casey Kasem and the "U2 Concert Tickets/Found Money" show?

I noticed she's missing in both, and that must have been around season 2 or 3.

Scroll up ...

I assume you watched these yesterday morning on TBS. TBS airs SBTB in production order, not their original airing, so sometimes it gets pretty confusing (not like it's not confusing enough with all those damn_Tori episodes in there).

Scroll up? Has this question been asked before? (Note, the episodes I brought up don't have Tori but do have everyone except Jessie. They are, in fact, probably at least 2 seasons before her).

Also, I saw them this morning. Both of them.

You are correct. These two episodes are not part of the Tori run. I thought someone had answered the general question of people being gone from episodes already, but apparently not. Sorry about that.

If I'm not mistaken, these two episodes were the last two before all the Malibu Sands stuff and Berkley was having contract disputes and threatening to leave the show. Whether she left and came back or simply took a hiatus to try and do other work, I do not know. But she returned to the show in time to film those summer episodes. Later (for the Tori episodes), she and TAT completely left the show to begin their wonderful soft pr0n careers.

I think one of the best episodes was when the group tried to make it big in music....i think they're band was called "Friends Forever" or some junk like that.

"Fate was running by their garage." Turns out to be some guy named Johnny Fate (hahaha)...

Good times, good times.

This thread reminds me of elementary and middle school, used to watch the show everyday after school

The band's name is "Zack Attack" and they sing the song "Friends Forever".

Eternia pulls out his "Saved By the Bell Soundtrack" cd

Don't Leave With Your Love, Go For it!, Love Me Now, Make My Day, Friends Forever, Did We Ever Have a Chance? (i remember this one vividly), Deep Within My Heart, Surfer Dude, Gone Hawaiian, School Song.

I think my favorite episode is: the one where Jessie does her pills and then screams/sings "I'm so excited...I'm so excited...I'm so ... scared!" Truly dramatic television at its best! ;)
That is my fav episode as well.

(Whenever I see Elizabeth Berkeley in SBTB now, I think to myself, "I've seen her boobs and everything in Showgirls!"

Oh, where to begin (You know it is impossible to pick just one):

The one where Zack and Screech create "The Girls of Bayside" calander

The production of Snow White-
"At first I didn't like all this drama, but now I don't mind so kiss me mama" A.C. Slater

I could go on all night . . .

Definitely two of my favorites. This thread is making me all misty-eyed for the past...gonna start trying to catch this show more in the mornings.

Matt 03-07-02 12:26 AM

Believe me, I'm no SBTB expert, but I was always partial to the episode where Zack is trying to hang out with his busy father, but his father is always backing out at the last minute, making business deals or whatever. So eventually, Zack and his dad are in Zack's room, talking, and his dad gets a call on his cell phone, and has to leave his conversation with Zack. But it's actually Zack on the phone, calling his own dad. "Dad, this is the only way that I can talk to you now." Tragic.

And another one I always loved is a Christmas-time episode, set in the mall, where Zack has got the hots for some blonde girl working at some Gap-type store. I think she gets falsely accused of stealing or something, and is fired, and then we find out that her father is homeless, and they all go visit him in the hospital. And then they all put on a Christmas play for the homeless hospital kids or something.

Also, any episode where Zack "breaks the fourth wall" and speaks directly to us, the viewer, is up there on my favorites list.

Quietly, SBTB has become the most influential television show of the past thirty years.

jkenn24 03-08-02 02:01 AM

one of my favorites is the episode where zack and slater fight over the girl

(Zack and Slater put punch all over each other and start to fight belding breaks up the fight and his wig comes off and lands in the punch)
"look prepie your all wet"

"yeah your wet too"

"Oh man we look stupid"

Then they point at belding and laugh

Those are probably my two favorite episodes, never liked Jesse's character

Usually the only thing that caused me to stop on this show was
Tiffany and Elizabeth in bikinis on the beach.
