What is your news channel?
What news channel do you watch on a regualr basis, and how often I personally leave mine on when there is nothing on, and I do a check during the day also to see what's going on.

CNN is really the only one worth listening to, but even they've gone downhill. I'll watch Bill O'Reilly and other theme programming on FOX News, but for the straight scoop, it's always CNN for me. The other channels are too gimicky and "shocking" for me. I don't want some jackhole telling me what to think about the news; just tell me the news. I have a brain; I can decide what it means myself. Like The Daily Show jokingly says, "we tell you the news ... and then we tell you what you should think about it."

I used to like MSNBC but I no longer consider them to be a 24-hour news channel. It seems like eveytime I turn them on it's some "magazine" type show dealing with older or non-urgent news. They keep having these "Remember 9/11" shows. I'm like, yeah it was 4 months ago. I remember.
I was tuning into Fox News a lot since they did more news, less magazine shows. But I just got sick to death of their slanted reporting. Forget the old right-wing/left-wing debate, I'm referring to their jingoistic Hail America slant they have been doing since the War on Terrorism began. Am I really supposed to respect a news channel that refers to American Taliban John Walker as "Jihad Johnny"? Please, just tell me the news and not how I'm supposed to feel about it.
Now they are reporting about the alleged human rights abuses at Guantanamo Bay-- and then making snarky "poor baby" sounds after they report the human rights groups complaints. Can't they just tell us both sides of the debate without taking sides?
Especially when you constantly refer to yourself as "fair and balanced"-- they really should just leave the patriotic commentary out of the news.
I have been tuning into CNN more and more because they just tell the facts about the war without using the "Rah Rah Rah" propaganda.

I will admit that I liked MSNBC a whole lot more before 9/11 I used to watch Mitch Albom in the afternoon, and what some of the other shows, but now it seems that the only actual regular scheduled program is Imus and I would rather shave my balls with a rusty blade then watch that show. I would also pay money if these "news shows" would stop refering to John Walker Lindh in any way but his name nothing else. This is not MTV.
