Snoops

Anyone remember this show that aired on ABC Sunday nights a couple years back, with Gina Gershon, Paula Marshall and Danny Nucci? I really enjoyed it and it was cancelled halfway through the season if memory serves.

I was wondering, now that Fox Family is now ABC Family are there any chances of them airing this show? If they do, I'd be sure to tape them this time around.

I worked on Snoops - no, there is very little chance of it ever airing again. They only made 13 episodes and most shows that get resurrected have close to a full season of episodes (Freaks & Geeks, My So-Called Life, etc).

The only wrench in the theory is that DEK (the writer, not the Otter) owns most of his shows, has the largest deal in TV history, and if he said, "I want Snoops back on the air" the studio might try and make it work.

But I doubt it.

Please tell me you didn't write the episode where Gina Gershon dressed up as Santa Claus and passed out gifts to houses. (that was the corniest episode, all the rest were good though )

Not me. That one as well as the whip cream ep were DEK.

I wrote the ep titled "Higher Calling" where Danny Nucci thinks his former priest is a pedofile and the girls are competing with another P.I. firm about info on a politician.

I also wrote an ep that was never aired because of the cancellation...

Awesome! I remember that ep. Have you written for any other shows?

BoatDrinks - that is awesome! I write scripts just for my own personal amusement, and really don't follow the proper format. Just a hobby, but that is cool you actually write scripts.

As for Snoops, that would be cool is ABC Family would air it - I watched every ep when it was on ABC. Didn't like that it was canceled, of course.

Man, knowing BoatDrinks wrote some eps makes it harder to criticize the show. I thought it had a great premise and was really clever but I thought the show creative inertia gave way after a few episodes and a little bit of me died a little bit after every episode. Damn, why can't Paula Marshal land on show that lasts!!!!

I remember that show! I watched it for Gina Gershon and Paula Marshall...my girlfriend liked it for Danny Nucci. That was a pretty good show.

Totally agree. Rob Thomas and Hart Hanson left after the first few episodes and DEK took it over. That was the demise...

Is the pic not showing up? They have a tendancy to do that (though I can see them on my screen). Very odd.

Oh, I forgot how much I enjoyed that show! I really liked it.

I wouldn't really want ABC Family to add that to their schedule, because FOX Family did that with that old Olsen Twins series, which only have a few episodes, and they aired it like four times a day and it got old quickly. I wouldn't mind if they ran a marathon, or better yet, they released the whole series on DVD.
