Chargoggagoggmanchauggauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg Street was kind of interesting to me since I have family that owns a small island in a lake with the same name. It's also called Webster Lake.

Two things...

I could have sworn before the previews aired they said something like "in the upcoming season of Gilmore Girls" or something like that... so was that preview for next week's episode, or for what happens later in the season? Could be just my imagination.

What show did Logan have on the WB?

I was just watching a rerun from when Lane moved out of her mom's house and the advice Lorelai gave to Mama Kim about dropping her issues and getting back in touch with her daughter would have been perfect for someone to give to her. I don't know if it was meant to be some super-foreshadowing or not but it gave me a little zing. It was kind of cool.

Tivo guide info for next week's episode:

Spoiler:
A surprise phone call from Christopher brings up issues of trust between Lorelai and Luke.

Ugh. Could they recycle that plot line any more?

Whoa, now that was a slew of verbal fireworks tonight. Logan looked demonic delivering his angry lines of dialogue. Jess wasn't too irritating, seemed like his character finally found a home in Philly. Loved Rory standing up to Emily. Having Lorelai reliving the parallels of her failing Paul Anka and thus Rory, brought her pain to the surface finally.

Does that mean that if Paul Anka dies, Rory will die?

I still find it unimaginable that Rory wants to be with Logan. He's as wrong for her as her life away from Yale, living with her grandparents or being in the DAR.

I just have to ask, but for those who freaked about Jess being mentioned in last week's thread, is the episode ruined for you when you see Milo's name when they role through the episode's guest stars or do you close your eyes for that?

I had tears in my eyes for one part of next week's preview and then the other part just made me mad.

The Rory and Emily fight at the DAR party was great.

The soccer game was pretty funny.

Looking forward to next week

Not exactly...

Spoiler:
I don't get why they need to put up these kinds of stupid barriers between Luke and Lorelai. Hasn't there been enough drama with Lorelai and Rory? Can't they have one storyline that just stays on a positive, happy course? Especially since these two went through so much to get to this point already.

I guess that I long for the old days when this show had maybe 1 iffy episode per season, but I was doing cartwheels when Jess showed up and I didn't want him to go. I also love that Rory maybe staying with Lane for a while. ASP made Jess WAY too unlikeable, but the show was still nearly perfect in those days and he still represents a time when Rory was still Rory and not DAR Rory.

I liked this exchange:

Emily: You're turning into your mother.
Rory: You're turning into my mother's mother!

I am liking this that Rory is finally seeing what it must have been like for her mom to grow up in that house. I don't think she ever understood before, as she only had the rosy view of her grandparents from afar.

I was screaming for Rory to break up with Tris- I mean, Logan at the restaurant. What an ass.

It is for me because I freaking HATE Jess! I hate his character and always have.
True, I don't care for Logan either, he is a total ass, but I hate Jess more.

I can tell that they are going to try to un-smartass Jess in an attempt to make him less of an annoying little twerp but I will continue to hold a grudge.

"A Runner"
"Logan!"

I wish the Lorelai and that stupid dog Paul Anka story line would go away.
I'm rooting for the dog to kick.

Lorelai and Luke were a couple of wusses turning away from the little girls soccer game because they thought it was too violent.

Emily telling Rory she was grounded. "Wait until your father gets home!"
"But he's my grandfather"

I think they tried to write Logan more normal in the episode, to try and turn everyone even more away form Logan. I liked Jess through the whole episode except for the last bit. The whole "What are you doing!?" bit was very forced. I really do wish he would have smashed Logan's pretty face, though.

As for Paul Anka, I love everything to do with him. He's actually my favorite part of the show right now.

What does everyone think about Jess? Was he merely a plot device to help Rory realize she needed to get back to the path she was on before or will he also be brought back, since he's seemed to really gotten his life together, and be the one Rory is with in the end?

I'm not meaning marriage to Rory, but the guy who she'll be with at the time when the show wraps things up. Which I've heard might be planned for Rory's graduation from Yale.

I don't think it would be right for Jess to get both Meg Pryor and Rory Gilmore. Luckiest jerk ever.

OMG, Lorelai just referenced Valerie Cherish "I didn't need to see that" with hand gestures and all.
