Auntiewinnie, I agree with the thoughts made about the band. For all Lane's sophisticated (or pretentious if you prefer) musical tastes, her band is pretty cheesy and generic. During that song I was really expecting them later on to be complaining about how far downhill they've gone from their original vision. Instead they were celebrating that they "totally rocked" (or something to that effect).
As for the rest of the episode... eh. It wasn't bad, but it just lacked a spark. Rory is cuter than ever, but the character is dying a slow death with this storyline.

I finally LOVE an episode and give it all kinds of praise in a thread where a lot of people didn't seem to agree with me and this is the week Scott Shelton takes the week off.

Just got around to watching the recording. Hate TJ, blah blah.
What really annoyed me is how Lorelai treats the dog. Not that it is bad, just that it is the same writing that was done for Kirk and his dog. And also no Kirk makes me sad.
Did anyone else get the feeling that something bad was going to happen to the band in the van?
And finally
for Lorelai's whole speech getting Luke to take the dog.

I did a search and didn't find a thread on this past week's episode of Gilmore Girls, please merge if I miss the thread.
Finally, Rory is styling her hair differently, and I like it.
Rory's adaptation to her community service was amusing in how she is now coordinating the work crews. Will this be a hint to her managerial acumen, even if her reporting dreams were crushed last season by Logan's pop. I still dislike Logan, this season is no different. The DAR bit at the end made Rory look lost.

Maybe I missed it in the previous episodes, but did Logan get any punishment for his part of the boat stealing? Because it seems like he's going on a lot of trips while Rory is doing communityi service.

Am I the only one who finds it more than a little odd that neither judge (Rory's, or, I assume, Logan's) made it a condition as part of their probabtion that they were to stay away from each other? I know it's just my fruitless wishing to be rid of Logan, but it would seem that two people conviced of a felony should not be seen together...

I am not going to try to post it verbatim 'cause I know I will butcher it, but the line Kurt had comparing the two children to the Dandy Warhols and Brian Jonestown Massacre was a hoot.
Unfortunately, that was the only part of the episode I really liked.

So-so episode, but the preview for next week looks interesting.
Oh, and Lane and Zack are still dating? There was no sign or even hint of them being together in this episode other than Lane telling Rory.

The last scene was brutal. They've been doing a great job showing Lorelai's grief over Rory. Rory seems clueless, but that's how she's always handled personal upset- until she crashes, of course. That appears to be coming. I also liked the brief scene with her getting out of her car and looking around Stars Hollow.
DAR Rory scares me to death.
Lane and Rory's reunion was uncharacteristically muted. They were pretty blase about seeing each other again after a few months.

He was the highlight of the episode. The licking of the key and then the licking of his shirt and Loralei's shirt and saying "let's get out of these wet things."

I don't know who is more annoying - Logan or Logan's friends.

I loved DAR Rory...my god was she looking amazing tonight. Not much happened in the ep, but some of the lines were great and like mentioned, next week looks like the episode I've been waiting for.

Always enjoyable, but I hope they end the Lorelai/Rory saga soon. It just seems like a convenient way to slow the advancement of the wedidng storyline.

Loved the Dig! reference... Brain Jonestown vs. Dandy Warhols. And loving the slow build up to what at least seems to be an inevitable reunion between Rory and Lorelai, though you never know on this show. Although you always know there will be brilliant pop culture references.
Rosie is sure having a week on TV after this and Curb.

at the shout-outs to "Riding on the Bus with My Sister". Never saw it, but the commercials were hilarious. (Rosie O'Donnell: "You're weird!")
