I want a spinoff starring Paris.

Is it just me, or are most of the characters coming off as unlikeable lately?

I still loathe Logan.

Luke and the kids was actually funny stuff.

I felt bad for Marty, the mixed signals he got from Rory didn't help.

Lorelai's redecoration of her garage is horribly conceived.

A spinoff involving Paris could only last about five minutes an ep, any more and I couldn't take it. Small doses...

I think throughout the run of the show (that I have seen), almost every character has had a good stretch where they have come off extremely unlikeable, particularly the women...and Taylor (of course).

If I was Marty, I would have had no qualms about taking Logan or Rory's money. They dragged him along after all.

Could someone please recap the first 5 minutes?

My DirecTivo decided to start recording this at 8:05. (It recorded a full 5 extra minutes of the previous show before it decided to change channels). Grrr.

It was late for me to watch the episode, but I think the 1st 5 minutes had Lorelai show up at Rory's place for their Friday dinner away from Richard and Emily, and Lorelai is treated to that quasi-relationship-trainwreck between Doyle and Paris, and then they go for a meal at the big lunch room at Yale, and Lorelai asks about the cliques at the lunch tables, Rory tries to steer Lorelai from her notions of college lunch room life. Rory also told Lorelai that Christopher sent her an email about how it was a big misunderstanding, and Lorelai sussed out that it was Emily that got Christopher's head all turned around. Another bit was about Lorelai describing her new route to Weston's for coffee in the morning now that she doesn't go to Luke's for her morning caffeine fix. And the Weston's server prepared 3 coffee's for Lorelai because she asked for "coffeecoffeecoffee" and then Lorelai had to explain that phrase to the server, but ended up paying for all 3 coffees. Cue opening credits and song.

Poor Marty. And poor Lorelai. This week's episode was definitely not your feel-good episode.

I'm still annoyed by the scene where Marty leaves to find an ATM and one of Logan's trust-fund buddies says "An ATM? How quaint!" - is there really anyone attending any university who is so obnoxiously aristocratic that they would feel comfortable saying something like that?

Very good episode

I liked Lane with Zach "You're not getting any, it's the least I can do"

Loved Rory going off on Emily, Luke literally throwing people out of the diner, and the ending.

I missed the last couple of minutes, but I think that I know what happened at the end. Can someone recap the last few minutes?

Emily gave into Luke, basically gave him her blessing, and then Luke raced to Lorelai's, and planted a big wet kiss on her.

Loved this episode! Great one-liners, Luke literally throwing folks out of the diner, Rory going off on Emily, Lane and Zach, Lane yelling at her mom, Lorelai and Luke making up. Even Kirk was funny, which is saying a lot.

Thank God they did not keep this Luke and Lorelai separation going on for a
long time. They need to be together at this stage of the show.

Classic Ending!

Great episode- although what was up with Lorelai not pausing the DVD when she got up to answer the door?

Sloppy.

Just watched the last couple of minutes at lunch since I had it set up to tape (glad that I did). Nice to see L&L back together again.

So I am assuming that Rory nailed her new guy last week? It seemed like it was heading that way when they fell into bed, but with Lane saying she slept with two guys within one year, that pretty much confirmed it, unless there is someone I am missing (just Dean and the new Tristan)

Yeah, plus a nice product placement by means of a Netlix reference by Lorelai.
"I Netflixed all three A Star is Born."

Great episode last night. Very enjoyable. Tons of excellent snappy one liners.

My Logan prediction: In a future episode he will...

Spoiler:
attempt to hit on Lorelai
