Well, there's one episode of The Family Guy that won't air again.

I've been slowly making my way through Divxes of the first two seasons of The Family Guy when I reached season 2 episode 13-- Road to Rhode Island. The one where Stewie and Brian are on a road-trip that includes a visit to Brian's childhood (puphood?) home. Stewie is passing his bag through the X-ray, and starts singing and dancing to distract the checkers while his weapon-filled bag passes through. I was struck even then about how much things had changed since that episode-- an how that scene wasn't quite the same any more. But then, while recovering his bag, Stewie says "Let's hope that Osama bin Laden doesn't sing show tunes". The scene cuts to Osama bin Laden nervously singing and dancing in the airport as his weapon-filled bag passes through the X-ray. That isn't going to air again.

I remember that. I didn't know they actually refered to Osama. Hillarious. Too bad people lost their sense of humor about that kind of stuff.

Osama [singing]:
God, I hope I get it, I hope I get it!
How many people does he need? How many boys? How many girls?

Got the AVI sitting on my hard drive here at work. Now, let's all hope that this episode, without this scene being expurgated, will be included on the eventual Season 2 box-set DVD release.
