Star Trek "Weakest Link" tonight

I gave up watching The Weakest Link eons ago, but Star Trek fans might want to tune in tonight for yet another Celebrity edition. Should be kind of fun.

William Shatner, Denise Crosby, LeVar Burton, John DeLancie, Wil Wheaton, Armin Shimerman, Robert Picardo, and Roxann Dawson.

Betcha they gang up and vote off Shatner first!

Do they ever do non-celebrity Weakest Links anymore?

No, but some of these "celebrities" they have been having on probably need the money more so than most regular people do. This is the first gig many of these TV stars have had in years.

Jadzia - with the possible exception of Shatner who has more money than all the rest put together. He's there to get people to watch.

He does milk it, doesn't he?

Actually I wasn't referring to the Star Trek people as much as I was referring to the other "celebrities" that the Weakest Link has featured lately. Forgotten characters from old TV shows, etc.

Maybe it's because I'm a Star Trek fan, but I hold these celebrities at higher esteem, than say, Winnie from "The Wonder Years."

Ok, except Wil Whaton. They need to vote him off first!

Actually, Wil's a pretty nice guy. Had a lot of fun with him working on a fundraiser.

Yeah, I have a lot of respect for Wil. His only fault is that he thinks he's a bigger geek than he really is. It's wonderful that he likes geeky things, but sometimes he plays it up too much, when he really isn't that knowledgeable or talented in those areas. But that's a MINOR complaint. He's a wonderful person and an incredibly talented person, especially in comedy. And considering the sh|t he's been through from the fans, he's overwhelmingly personable to them. And his wife kicks *** too. Seeing him weep tears of joy at the increidble performance his comedy troupe gave for the 35th Anniversary celebration will never fade from my memory. A very special moment for a guy who really deserves it.

Actually, Wil Wheaton's case of Post-Trek Foot-In-Mouth Disease appears to be flourishing. At least if you ask Roxanne Dawson.

Just look here and here.

I'd have to wait and see if he comes across as joking or not, but if he was, she really seems to be full of herself. Sounds like she needs to get over herself and quickly.

She's an idiot. I have spent time around him. He likes to joke around. He was joking and she took it and herself way too seriously. She needs to get over herself.

Charity primarily but they are compensated as well if I'm not mistaken. But they want their 15 minutes of fame extended too.

Anyone else find Shatner annoying? He just seems so full of himself.

I was impressed by how smart the Trek stars were.

I believe they are paid the standard appearance fee, similar to the one for being on a talk show. I think it's only around $50 or something.

In the fine print at the end of the show, it says something about them being paid some standard fee or something.
