Ed - 11/14

I haven't watched the whole episode yet, so my only comments will deal with the preview for the next episode.

Spoiler:
DENNIS AND CAROL KISS AGAIN!!!!!! AAAAAAAAARGH!! And it looks like Ed is pretty heartbroken about the whole retarded thing. Or maybe he's just sobbing at his desk because this is the best that the writers could come up with. But what could Dennis's secret be? I doubt he's married... Ed would blow that secret wide open, unless maybe it involves some sort of lawyer-client relationship. What secret about Dennis could Ed know that would destroy Dennis & Carol's relationship, but Ed wouldn't/couldn't spill it?

Dennis bad!

Spoiler:
I'm guessing that Dennis' secret has something to do with how he was fired in Massachusetts. Although I have no clue what that secret could be. This was a hilarious episode (the bizarro alley workers were radical

Spoiler:
Hmm, could be. So if it did have something to do with a situation possibly involving a lawsuit, then maybe that's why Ed can't spill the beans. That must be frickin' torture.

Somebody mark the date and time. Carol just crossed the line into being irritating.

I don't think she's irritating. Maybe insane, or stupid... but never irritating. At least not yet. Carol Vessey... *swoon*...

Carol is walking the tightrope of nearly irrating. She could easily fall into it.

When a chick attacks a guy that has totally treated her like crap while ignoring the guy that uprooted his life just to be near her, she becomes more than irritating.

speak it brother!!! kinda like my situation but that is another story. onto ed.....

all i can say is EWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! when carol kissed dennis .... even though i knew it was coming it was horrible!!! i will wait to see where the writers go with this but right now i am hating it. i can understand that eventually they were going to have carol go out with someone cause it will take awhile before she ends up with ed but this guy is a total loser!!!! i was feeling badly for ed right before the 2nd break when he said 'i'm being replaced'. carol is not irritating, just foolish. i have faith that within a couple of weeks dennis will be gone. i was laughing my butt off when ed got into the courtroom and absolutely doogie howser. i thought the impersonators of phil, kenny, and 'shirl' were funny but the 'phil' and his "righteous' was just annoying. anyway, i totally enjoyed the episode.

except for the lack of a $10 bet. boooo

Actually, Carol has always been that way. You can call it irritating if you like. When we first met Carol she was in that type of relationship with the character played by Gregory Harrison. That didn't last.

Wasn't Carol in that relationship with the Greg Harrison character for something like 5-7 years?

Don't know. If Carol and Ed do get together, it won't be for long. The show has to maintain distance for that whole "Moonlighting" effect--that spark of the show that fizzles when the two leads became a couple.

According to Virtual Stuckeyville, they did date for 7 years.

The problem with Carol is something akin to what Lana Lang is going through on Smallville: I think Carol thinks that she doesn't deserve a great guy like Ed. And in the same vein, I don't think Lana thinks she deserves a great guy like Clark Kent, so she goes for the high school jock athlete, and Carol goes for the one that treats her badly.

Sounds good to me, I had an ex say basically the exact same thing to me i.e. "You're too good for me" then proceeds to go out with some dick. Chicks

Sometimes, you can be the nicest guy in the world, but if the chemistry isn't there between you and the object of your affections, nothing is going to make that women love you in the way you love her. Sometimes women want the chemistry more than the manners.

In this case, she later said she felt she was never good enough and that I would soon realize that and dump her. Broads are whacked!

I am guessing that he was fired for dating a staff member, or worse -- one of his former students. Now he's trying not to get close to anyone so that he can finish out his career and collect pension.

So, what are nice guys supposed to do?

Anyway, the episode was excellent.

The nice guys are supposed to look for the secure girls with high self-esteem, and avoid the trappings of the hotties who look nice on the outside, but are insecure on the inside. Yes, it's a tough job for the nice guys.

Sometimes the insecure ones need nice guys to show them what relationships are all about, though.

Hopefully this is not a spoiler b/c it's been 2 days since the episode aired!!!

On topic (and yet it seems like a hijack ), I thought Doogie Howser was a perfect choice for the "best bowling alley lawyer in the tri-state area." He came across exactly like Ed did when he first came home - irrationally enthusiastic. I loved seeing Ed's vengeance in the courtroom, and the judge's line was great - "I always rule for the guy with the big fan." Great ep this week.

i liked the episode...for once warren wasn't annoying in every scene he was in. carol was still hot as $&%^$*#( even though she was a stupid stupid girl. i think its hilarious that we all refer to that guy as doogie houser instead of the actor's real name. that rules.
