IMHO, this was the best Halloween Special since VII. But as usual, the episode began with the best story, and progressed downhill. The first one was funny as hell, the second was pretty decent, and the third was just alright (The barfing frog thing was pretty damn funny though). But all in all, I really enjoyed this one.

I was a little disappointed to see the trademarked name changes for Halloween in the credits absent.
The first skit was very funny.
Ooh.. Matthew Perry
"Could I be anymore of a house."

So-so... I thought the opening Burns/Smithers piece and Homer's leprechaun snare were great. But I think missed a really decent opportunity to develop the Harry Potter spoof into a regular, full episode - as it stood tonight, it just fell flat.

I thought is was ok. The talking house with the voice of Pierce Brosnan:
"Homer, you seem to have been building up stress in your back fat."

Very weak. But then again, the Halloween specials are always my least favorite episodes.

Try too hard, don't have the funny.

What was the deal with Fox airing this a week after Halloween?
I wanted to see it but unfortunately I missed it.
Nevermind, I saw the other thread.

The only part of the ep that really stood out to me was when the Brosnan-bot called Homer an "asswipe".

I thought it was awesome. Easily one of the best. There were Simpsons haters in the room with me that were laughing like mad.
It looks like this season is gonna be great.

A few funny moments (such as the back fat comment), but it just further demonstrates that the Simpsons' best days are far far behind them.

You can blame bin Laden for this one, too. The attacks pushed the baseball season back a week. So they had baseball the Tuesday it was supposed to air.Originally posted by big whoppa

I thought it was really funny, loved the second one the most. The barfing frogman had me :
:The altered names missing was quite odd.

I thought it was about on par with the others. I've always liked the treehouse eps since the writers were free to do anything they wanted with the characters, like axing Willy in the back three times. "Agch, I'm bad at this."
I liked the bit where Homer's tearing out the computer's chips. "No, not the charming British accent chip!"

Man is it just me or can you make a leprachaun the funniest character. Just make him talk jibberish for a couple minutes and it will have me on the floor laughing.

I really enjoyed this Halloween special. I thought Homer removing the memory chips a la 2001: A Space Odyssey from the house CPU was an excellant plug. Barfing frog and Trix bunnies were hilarious. It's the little things like this that make the Simpsons so great! I always enjoy the Halloween episodes because of the creative freedom.
