Cost of HBO?
My free trial of HBO is due to run out in a couple of weeks but I'm gonna keep it on anyway. I have the regular tiered cable. I have all the tiers. But looking at my bill, it says I'd have to pay $14 just for that one channel of HBO. I don't get any of the HBO Plus or Signature channels, and I don't want them either. But if I had digital cable, for $14 I would get all 5 of the HBO channels. Does that seem right to you? Is there something I can do about this? BTW, I have ATT as my cable provider.

Yes, that does sound right, and no, there is nothing you can do about it.
My HBO is $12 a month, and I do get four channels of it. I know some people who only get HBO and HBO plus for a similar price. Some systems might offer 1 HBO and 1 Cinemax for a lower price, but in most instances, you are essentially paying one price for HBO -- and the other channels are "thrown in for free".

And people wonder why I hate ATT. When they rolled out their digital cable product, they yanked channels from the analog and raised the prices to bully their customers into upgrading. I don't know what your other packages and pricings are, but it may be time to bite the bullet and give in to their evil and get digital cable (which is a good product).

For one thing, that's another unit on the entertainment center, and another remote. Second, I hate the 1/2 second pause between channels. Maybe it's just here, but when I scroll through the channels, the picture doesn't load instantly on digital TV.

They just fry your access cards one night when you are sleeping ...
