Spawn on HBO????

I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was going to start up again? Has anyone heard anything?

I have heard rumblings of a final season being made. They kind of left the story high and dry when it's HBO run ended. I do not know if HBO would pick up Spawn again if a final season was made. It wasn't a stellar ratings performer.

Great HBO shows like "Spawn" and "Tenacious D" get cancelled while tripe such as "Arliss" and "Tracy takes on" get renewed year after year. Although thankfully I think weve seen the last of Tracy takes on.

I bought the Spawn boxset a while back, and I was wondering if it contained every episode released on HBO or if there were a few more seasons that were not released. If that's all then they do really need to finish off the show.

and the funny thing is Tracey's show hasn't been new in years.

What is in the boxset is what was shown on HBO. Left pretty high and dry, eh? I have heard rumors that MadHouse (the animation studio that did Spawn along with such anime as Trigun and Card Captor Sakura) is coming back and doing the final season of Spawn. This is just a rumor though, I don't know if HBO would bring it back or not.

Spawn seriously rocked. Depressing as hell (pun intended) but still WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY better than the film. Why do crap show get eternity on TV and quality shows get cancelled? And the last season aired in 1999 by the way.

If the upcoming Spawn 2 motion picture coming from Sony/Columbia does well (which I think it will), there will pretty much have to be a new animated Spawn series. Whether or not the new series would be good and on HBO is questionable.

HBO is part of AOL Time Warner as well as New Line Cinema who passed on the Spawn 2 feature.
