Leno vs. Conan
Because there have been several posts on Leno vs. Letterman (I have deleted my previous post because I did not know this), I felt I would try something a little different. If you had to pick between Jay Leno and Conan O Brien, who would you say is a better late night talk show host? I feel that Conan is definitely the funnier and Jay Leno has the lamest jokes. I feel Leno and Conan should switch time slots. Anyone agree with me?

To the people who watch Conan, do you tape in on your VCR or do you stay up late to watch it?

Like I said before, keep Conan where he is for the simple fact it makes it easy on me when I have to pick what to watch at 11:30 on weeknights. Leno is no contest next to Letterman, so he has to have a REALLY great guest for me to even ponder before switching it to CBS.

Headlines and Jaywalking are the only good parts of Leno. Though they are just about always hilarious.

Letterman should just do a segment at the end of his show called 'Next on Conan.' While I don't watch Kilborne very often, I even find him funnier than Leno. Leno's interviews are crap, and his skits are the same thing over and over and over and over. I rarely flip to CBS, but Letterman is more than worth it. Then, off to Conan at 12:30am.

CONAN
I'm pleased to see the general consensus is Conan. I always liked him because he has the same sense of humor as I do. I think people were a little hard on Jay...he's ok. It seems like Conan is the younger audience favorite, while Jay is more for the older generation. I love Conan's self-depricating humor...also, does anyone read Entertainment Weekly? In the TV section, when they quote comical lines from the past week, Conan is always on there. Usually, it's the only line I laugh out loud at, too.

Conan certainly over Leno... hell, I'd rather watch a monkey on a rock than suffer through Leno (though I do admit, Headlines is somewhat amusing).
Of course, I'm a Letterman nut, and hardly EVER miss a show of his - Kilbourn or Conan afterward doesn't make much difference to me - if I'm gonna watch one, I choose which by the guests. However I'd rather watch any host on TV than Leno (a - what the hell was NBC thinking??? - and much more puzzlingly, how does he get them damn ratings?!?!? You don't know how much this pis*es me off!). I'd even take - gasp - Rosie over Leno! - hell, even Oprah!!!!!

Its like comparing apples to maturbating bears. One is from the old school of Johnny Carson and Jack Parr the other is from the new school of Letterman and SNL and the Simpsons.

I watch Leno everynight. Letterman sucks ass. Then if I am not tired I watch Conan. However, I agree that Conan is a better show and is funnier. Leno usually has better guests and musical guests though.

I used to watch Leno nightly, followed by Conan. Now that I work evenings, I don't get home until about 12:30, just in time for Conan. I would watch Leno if I could...my roommate has a tivo season pass feature that records all episodes of Conan and Jon Stewart. If I have energy and no DVDs I feel like watching, I'll watch Conan, otherwise I watch it the next morning along with the Daily Show. If Conan is a rerun, I support my company and watch Bill Maher.
