Very good show. I am glad they have tried to stick more to her stand up routine for humor, because that is where she is truly her funniest. This will probably become worthy of being recorded. Anyone else enjoying it?

Last night's show was right on the mark. I actually laughed out loud several times. It had Carol Leifer's name all over it. Reminded me of one of her "Seinfeld" scripted shows. Let's hope the show continues on this path. Well done.

Agreed. I know the ditzy sit-com mom can get old, but when it is done right, it is awesome. The hairstyling was fantastic. Ellen will never be one that looks comfortable dressed up, and she plays that off perfectly. Even when you can see the jokes developing far in advance (such as with the student telling Ellen she wished she didn't care how whe looked, just like Ellen), the expressions that Ellen can give are what sell it. Not nearly as great (though nobody is) as the expressions of Jack Benny or Johnny Carson, but there is definatley some of that magic. She can make you laugh without saying a word.
