Presidential address on 10/11?

Does anyone know what time the pres's address will appear tonight? I read on CNN that he'll be talking at prime-time, but does that mean E or W coast? I'm sure that may affect some of the programs (like must-see-tv*), so keep an eye out.

* Please note I'm not suggesting that the NBC lineup is more important than the events that are happening in our world today, I'm just trying to make sure people are aware the tv schedule might be a bit screwey this evening.

The "Survivor on TV tonite?" thread was dealing with the same topic... 8pm eastern time is his speech/press conference. West coast will probably be normal, but the East coast will definitely be messed up...

Yeah, I just caught that other thread, sorry about the re-post. I'm not a survivor fan, so I didn't think to look there.

Oh well, maybe this will help inform people.

Can we assume that they will delay the start of the A's/Yankees game as well? First pitch is slated for 8:17. How long is the address supposed to be?

No way of knowing the length. It's actually Bush's very first formal White House press conference. There's usually an address, then as many questions as they feel like answering...

Not meant as a dig, but he's not the type that will want to "think on his feet" for too long, so it may be shorter than most. But I'd still be surprised if it doesn't delay your game coverage...

Argh! I've been looking forward to Survivor since the last one went off. Even if the speech is short we'll have to listen to journalists tell us what he's going to say before the speech and then what he said after the speech.
