West Wing premiere pushed back 2 weeks
The season premiere is now scheduled for October 10th. This wednesday will be another rerun, and next week they show a special terrorist-attack related episode. This episode will be entitled "Isaac and Ishmael".

The Hollywood Reporter is also saying that at the beginning of this special episode, each cast member will address the audience as themselves, and not in character.

It should be interesting to see how they try to tie
last season's finale (Bartlet ready to answer) to this add in (terrorism show) to the season premier (Bartlet answers re-election question).
I'm not saying it can't or shouldn't be done I just think it could be tricky.

Not tricky at all. They already announced that the actors will come on before the episode starts and call it a "stand alone" episode.
