Woah. Claudia is hot.
and developed as well.
Used to watch this show all the time but towards the end kinda slacked a bit. And to tell you the truth...I had pretty much forgot about it.

Re: Question about Party of 5, I missed the last episode!
I bumped this thread because Netflix just added Party of Five, and I couldn't find any episode discussion threads. I decided to revisit this show 20+ years later.
Yes the show was always bad in one respect, but it was the 'good' bad in that it was an addicting show. It is interesting to watch a show that came out before the 'Cable Drama era' when Regular TV still ruled. I will say this that these episodes are easy to breeze through as some Cable Dramas today are just a chore to watch for some reason. I felt that way when I watched Freaks and Geeks on Netflix as there was something innocent about Traditional TV dramas of the 90's where they couldn't curse, no nudity, etc, and had to get creative in other ways to keep you interested.

I loved this show, almost afraid to revisit to ruin the nice little bubble capsule I have in my mind of it.

You also have to reprogram yourself to the pre-internet/pre-smart phone days when watching it now. Every episode is littered with everyone not being able to find certain people, so it was a great suspense plotline back then. One episode Charlie is looking for Julia and calls her from a payphone, as you just couldn't do an episode like that today. And the 90's Grunge feel to it sort of brings me back.
And I have to say that Claudia (The girl from MeanGirls) is a hell of a great kid actor as she pretty much steals every scene in the first season.

I totally get that, as I never watched the show with a sense of loyalty in the 90's. I think I started watching it around Season 3 after I saw Neve Campbell in Scream and had a huge crush on her and bailed around Season 5 so I'm invested to see how it ends.

I remember liking Party of Five at first, as they often had realistic results to the crises they faced; they didn't always win. But for some reason, the show runners thought that meant the viewers only wanted depressing stories, so they just had the Salingers face one bad situation after another. Everyone got cancer, died, etc. It was too much.
Claudia did grow up hot though.
