So what's up with the changes in Roswell?

I've seen the commercials (posted on UPN.com if you haven't seen them). It looks kind of the same, though they're saying that now the teens are 25 years old and "edgier."

Why are they messing with this show? What do you think?
I hope it's good...

the way it sounds is less sci-fi and more 90210. not sure if this is good for a sci-fi show with no sci-fi.

You know I heard that FOX originally wanted Roswell and was going to do it in the fashion of 90210.

I hope it sticks to its sci-fi elements. That's what the second season did and I think it was better than the first because of it.

While I'm a SF fan. I didn't really like most of the SF they added into Roswell. Actually, to put things right I thoroughly enjoyed it until "The hybrid chronicles" and the end which was pretty lame.

I wouldn't want it to turn into 90210, but there's little chance that would happen: for one there's always the "alien twist" to things, and second: you cannot just put an alien king on earth and turn him into Brandon Walsh without ever bothering with the SF aspect.

I sure hope, however that they start way better than they ended the season...
Max and Liz robbing a store in the first episode!? I'm not sure where this will go. And since I'm quite impatiant I may just head over to some roswell sites and read the script(s) for the first episode(s).
