Springer canceled????!!!

It's not on at all this week on Fox at 2 pm. Has it been canceled? I bet it's gone downhill since they stopped showing the actual fighting.

No, it's still on. That station probably decided not to renew it's deal for it. Check around and you'll probably find it on another at a different time!

They took out the fights a long time ago. The fights still happen but they edit them out or cut away from them. Security actually tries to prevent fights now.

The cancellation of this show would be no big loss. And Springer no profiting from this show would be an added plus.

I've got to agree with you, big whoppa. The show is just trying for shock value now. It used to be pretty interesting, but now the stuff is real far out there.

Springer is great mindless entertainment, and it makes me realize how good my life actually is. Plus with the new season, they added sound effects. I thought this was very stupid at first, but it actually makes it much more humorous. (I'm not some dumb redneck btw, I am a 20 yr old male college student who majors in meteorology and minors in math, so I do have intelligence.)

man, i flipped through the channels and caught an episode.. the show just went to hell now. the fights suck, the "cutting edge" is just the normal.. theres no shock value anymore.. might aswell shoot this sucker and put it out of it's misery already

i still don't understand why people actually go on this show. you always leave with less dignity than you came on with.

For the past few seasons, most if not all of Springer show has been staged.

Well, living in Oklahoma, I actually know of a few people who appeared on Springer.

One girl was asked to go on by her husband who was cheating on her with his first cousin. She knew what was going to happen so she obviously said no, but Springer gave her $2,000 plus free trip to Chicago all expense paid....then this other guy I know was sleeping with these two obese sisters and they were making him chose...then this other girl I know made her boyfriend go on there for child support (but that was before it go really really raunchy, but still after the fights began)....

Holy Sh!t! I know three people who've been on Springer, that's pretty embarrassing....

I don't care if the fights were staged, if you don't like springer, or you don't like his show. His show at one time was on the greatest of all time. I can't watch a bunch of people sit around and cry because they can't lose wait (Oprah) or a show about a kids who have never seen there dad (just about every talk show). Jerry Springer made talk shows fun to watch the fights were great but now things have changed I can watch it but just not as much as I used to be able to. It was the type of show where either love it or you hate it. I wish it could be like the good ole' days were chairs would fly across the stage and people from the crowd would try to beat up the KKK

I agree that I used to love Springer a few years ago. Then they bent to pressure and took off the fights and now I think that it is all staged. Maybe they take some real people with real problems but they look like they are making things up b/c they seem to almost be laughing half the time. I would love to see the old Jerry back. Maybe HBO or Skinemax would pick it up and go back to showing the fights and even a little skin (though most of the time I wouldn't want to see what the guests were hiding).

i always thought Springer was a complete coward. notice how he would only make sarcastic comments about his guests when he was at least 15ft away from them? and the way he would always run into the audience every time a fight broke out?
