okay let me explain my intentions...i was thinking most long running sitcoms have spinoffs...

cheers -> fraiser
cosby show -> different world
happy days -> a bunch of stuff
etc.

but then i thought of married with children...no spinoff (unless i'm forgetting something). any other long running shows without spinoffs?

MWC had a spin off a very short lived series with Matt Leblache(sp)... The guy from Friends. He was like Kelly's boyfriend and the show was about him and his dad I forget the name of the show but they mentioned it briefly on the True Hollywood story

Family Matters or Full House didn't have a spin off did it I know the were on for a while but I don't know if it was longer than 5 years

didn't know about the spinoff, but i remember matt leblanche on mwc.

family matters and step by step were tied together, not sure if it was an actual spinoff but i know the characters interacted. family matters was also related to Perfect STrangers

Full House is another i thought of, but i think there might be a spinoff there cuz all those ABC shows were tied together. I think Hangin with Mr. Cooper was a spinoff of it

i think family matters and step by step were only made by the same production company. i don't think that they were actually spinoffs since one was in wisconsis and the other was in chicago. i

i don't think hangin with mr cooper was a spinoff of full house. they were only tied together because i think they were played on the same nights and might have been made by the same production company but i don't think they were

i know michelle was on mr. cooper. and that black kid was on both shows too (i think).

That would be "Vinnie and Bobbie", a REALLY bad show with Joey Lauren Adams as well. I think I watched all five or so episodes that aired.

Fresh prince only had 148 episodes according to IMDB, as opposed to say 275 episodes by Cheers

i don't think the lady who worked with balki and larry was the same person. and i think urkel was on step by step but that was a cameo since they shared the same production company. but i could be wrong too

All in the Family had a few spinoffs; The Jeffersons, Archie Bunker's Place, and Gloria. Diff'rent Strokes had a spinoff, The Facts of Life.

No, he was right. The mom from Family Matters worked with them at the newspaper or something.

According to imdb, she was on Perfect Strangers from 1987-1989, at which point, she spun off into Family Matters

Nope -- Mr Cooper was a spinoff of of Growing Pains.

Onn the last Growing Pains, thhe Seavers moved out and the house was empty, except for a family portrait left on the mantle.

Premiere episode of Mr Cooper, Cooper's moving into the Seaver house and jason seaver comes byt to pick up the picture.

The mom from Family Matters ran the elevator at the Chicago Chronicle office where Larry and Balki worked. The dad on Family Matters (also married to the same mom on Perfect Strangers cameos) was a police officer on Perfect Strangers who would occasionally interact....

You're forgetting that "All in the Family" also spun off "Maude", which spun off "Good Times".

"Different Strokes" spun off "Hello, Larry" with Mclean Stevenson

"The Facts of Life" tried to spin off a show with Jimmy Baio (from "Soap") about a slick, streetwise teenager in a military academy. The foundation was laid on the show, but NBC decided not to do it.

You missed MAUDE -> GOOD TIMES, 704 Hauser(a black family lives in Archie Bunker's old house) and FLORENCE which spun off from THE JEFFERSONS. All these shows spun off from All in the Family

MASH -> AFTERMASH
MASH- > Trapper John MD
MASH -> WALTER( about RADAR!!!! ) I never knew this show existed!!!!

nope, they used the same set. I dont remember Jason coming to pick up the pic or anythign. On the second episode Mark Curry starst the show by saying that they have their own set this episode. Also I believe Mr Cooper and Full House were both in SF while Growing Pains was in New York.

Didn't know about those others from All in the Family or Diff'rent Strokes, thanks for the heads up.

I also thought Mr. Cooper was in N California because I remember Mr. Cooper used to play for the Golden State Warriors.

Who's the Boss was on for a long time and didn't have a spinoff, did it? I don't think Home Improvement had a spinoff either.
