I Hate E.r.
anyone else with me??
[rant]
if they canceled it I would not shed a tear...
rather than people hating sitcoms that at least
try to make us laugh all the time maybe we should
focus on these tug-at-our-heartstrings dramas that are
generally all the same
and just want us to 'feel' with the chracters
I will take a mediocre sitcom over a good drama any day.
ER may be well written and it may be the trendsetter for
all these clone dramas and hospital pieces
but enough is enough
maybe this stems from the fact that I hate hospitals but i digress...
that's just my opinion and I could be wrong

DVD Talk Special Edition
The show went downhill when Sherry Stringfield left and the cast ballooned from the core group of 5 doctors to like 15 people, many of whom suck...
When George Clooney left, the show was already way past its prime, but now it's barely even watchable.
Thank God for The West Wing

I hate hearing about ER
I hate reading about ER
I hate people who watch nothing but ER
But ... as much as ER is nothing but a rehash of St. Elsewhere, a show that really was edgy in a time when looking "edgy" wasn't a surefire ratings grabber, it's still a good and enjoyable show. I rarely watch it, since I'd rather spend my time watching something I haven't seen before, and ER's been rehashing its own plots for the past 7 years, but it's still a good show.
How's that for a mixed review?
I look at ER the same way I look at Friends. I hate few things more than hearing about it all the time, but it's still funny. Sure, it hasn't been original since its 3rd season, but as network sit-coms go, there isn't much better offering. Again, I rarely watch it. Instead I watch shows that are at least trying to do something different or revolutionary. Therefore, I spend Sunday nights on HBO, Friday nights on Sci-Fi, Tuesday nights on the WB (soon to be UPN).

The problem with ER is that they keep trying to push an envelope, but it gets more and more ridiculous. Every week the show's promoted the same way: "Next week on ER, something so shocking will happen that the lives of everyone will change!" Give me a break.
I stopped watching in the episode where somebody fired a rocket launcher into the E.R. Come on!
