Settle down, this is not an actual idea. I was just wondering how it would be received. We've had "The Flintstones" and soon "Scooby Doo", so it's entirely within the realm of possibility.

Who do you think should be cast?

Ugh, I can't even imagine. I weep for fans of The Flintstones and Scooby Doo after the "adaptations" that have been made.

Dear god, no. Besides, it's near impossible to have that hair the Simpsons do in real life. And who would play Mr. Burns?

While I dont think its a good idea, Groening and Co. have actually been mulling it over. He long stated that he thought it was a horrible idea, but after 11 successful years and still going strong, he's been quoted as saying he's open to the idea basically becuase its one of the things they havent done and after so long they are running low on ways to keep The Simpsons fresh and do new things. So, it is possible we may see a feature.

No no no no no no no no no. It would just ruin it. If they're really running out of ideas, just end the show.

no, but i do think he should think about letting the simpsons age a little. If Bart and Lisa get to high school that just opens up tons of new story lines

As long as it's not SIMPSONS!!: The Broadway Musical, I might check it out.

my thoughts exactly. it would be stupid.
you wouldn't want to watch a comedy cartoon version of the Godfather would you? of course not. because it's a completely different thing, like chalk and cheese. so why would something vice versa be any better? it wouldn't. i doubt Groening is stupid enough to greenlight something like this. but who knows? Lucas allowed them to make The Star Wars Holiday Special, so anything's possible.

I wouldn't be averse to live-action if it was just a scene in a random Halloween episode or something, but not a full-length Flintstones-like movie. Yikes.

Yeah, no feature length movies please. But the idea to have a live action Treehouse of Horror episode on the Halloween show is a great idea.

I wouldn't mind seeing it. Let's just say that I wouldn't have very high expectations going into it.

Just curious, for those of you that think this is the "worst idea ever" or close to it, how many of you would still go see it?

They did that briefly during a Halloween episode. Homer was computer animated though

i agree ! good idea ! all of a sudden everyone could be 8 years older, no explanation, they could kill off a few characters (have flashbacks or something to explain their deaths) and have a few new characters
