BUFFY and ROSWELL to Return Early!

BUFFY and ROSWELL to Return Early!!

UPN’s programming and scheduling department sent out
a memo Wednesday indicating that both “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Roswell” will return a week earlier than previously announced.

”Buffy’s” 2-hour premiere will now arrive Oct. 2.
“Roswell’s” opener will launch 9 p.m. Oct. 9.

According to the memo, the moves are being made to get
the jump on the copious competition and to build on the momentum of the prior week’s “Enterprise” premiere, which
is expected to capture a huge audience.

Remember the days when season premeires were in September? It seems so long ago, but now shows start in October and November...ever so annoying.

I am looking forward to Roswell myself...hopefully they can keep the series on track and interesting for the whole season this year. Last year was off and on unlike the first season.

I'm glad that ROSWELL is going to be after Buffy on UPN.....
I was worried they would put it in a day/time slot when I watch other things........
excited about ROSWELL continuing......

I'm pretty stoked about both shows and them being back to back as well.

Yea, what's up with these October starts? I can understand it for the X-Files because Fox carries Football and they said that they didn't want to have a week or two of new shows and then a month of football, followed by new shows and then the superbowl. So they wait until they can air more than one new episode in a row. I didn't know that the WB or UPN carriered anything other than baseball, which I thought would be over by then.

More BUFFY info with SPOILERS!

I've just read this juicy little tidbit about BUFFY'S
next season, fresh from the mouth of SPIKE:

He got in late to the con because of filming. They are curently filming Part 2 of the Two Hour Premiere. The scenes he was filming had to do with him being chased on a motorcycle.

He indicated that his character will be a "wet puppy" for the
first part of the season over his guilt of failing Buffy.

On the Watcher's series James had to say this- He is very intrested in being in it. Joss is very excited about it. It is an almost sure thing that he will be in it as a guest and not a
cast member. Keep your fingers crossed. James said he will continue to be in the Buffy universe as long as they will have
him.

Joss is curently compossing songs for a muscial Buffy.
He confirmed that the motor gang is not the Big Bad-
this season's Big Bad has not "really" shown up yet.
He would/could not comment on Willow being such.

James hopes the chip will come out of his head so that
the character can fully make a descion on being part of
the Scooby Gang.

He said Buffy's return is really spectacular and nothing like
we imagine.

He also commented on the animated series. The regulars
will voice it as long as they don't "suck". He feels someone
else should voice his since he has trouble emoting all his
"Spike-ness" via his voice. But he will continue to work at it.

What do you think???

It could be interesting. I'll wait and see. I hope he does do both shows and I think he would be more interesting without the chip.

BTW - if anyone is a fan of Tony Head's and you get BBC America, he's on a show called Jonathan Creek.
