Kilborn was good. Real good.

That being said, this has always been Stewart's show.
He literally took it to another level.

Kilborn's new show is not so great.

I gotta say, I really enjoyed Kilborn's show, wish his new show was as good (Conan rules!)

Stewart had me worried at first, he kind of struggled, with this weird mix of what was and some new stuff, but now, absolutely no comparison, Stewart is King!

I started watching on a regular basis...ok, daily basis because of Stewart. I just didn't watch Craig too much.

You know, it's the strangest thing about this show. I have always loved it and every time one of my favorite people decides to leave the show, I get worried it will start sucking, but it always seems to come out as good as it always was or on top.

I used to love Craig and the old show. Toward the end of his time on the show that started to change a little bit as I realized he was really kind of an a$$ behind the scenes. When he left, i was worried how Stewart would do, but now I find it hard to even remember what Craig's version of the show was like. As has been said on here, Stewart just brought it up to another level and the show has gone from being good to nearly great.

Kilborn was (and still is) always smirking as if to say, "Look how funny I am".

Stewart rocks! He is just hilarious! And his ad-libs are sometimes funnier than the script. Great show!

I'm confused, what relationship did Stewart have with the show when Kilborn was the host?

Did anyone see Stewart's recent interview with two of the Spice Girls? It had to be one of the funniest moments on that show. Posh was being a real punk, but Stewart three-upped her. She asked him if he was trying to be funny, and he replied with perfect timing with something about Benny Hill. I forget exactly what it was he said. Anyhow, the whole interview was brilliant.

I enjoyed watching the show when Kilborn was hosting. He was good at poking fun at himself in very subtle ways. Stewart was iffy, but he definitely settled in. I'm glad for that since I really missed the Jon Stewart Show. Still do, to a certain extent.

I honestly cant say. It was two different programs, with the same focus, but different in execution. Kilborns show was mock serious, almost more of a paradoy, acting like it was a real news show, whereas Stewart is more straightforward that its all a joke, and much looser. Kilborn would let you in that it was a joke with a cocky smile, but Stewart just spazzes out and ad libs- its like the difference between winking and someone and ramming tongue down thier throat. I really liked the first show and it took me awhile to get used to John Stewart, but now I love it just the same.

Without a doubt Stephen Colbert and Steve Correl are the two funniest reporters, and with the new faces popping up I hope that doesnt mean they are leaving like Vance Degeners did.

Yeah I caught that episode too.....months ago when it was first aired. I can't think of anybody else saving a potentially disastrous interview like he did, and turning it into something hilarious. I was also really surprised at how little of a sense of humor Posh had. Damn Brits.

Anyways, this is no contest- Stewert beats Kilborn hands down (who's new show isn't anything special IMO). Whereas Kilborn had a, well, 'nice sense of humor', Stewert is just goddamn hilarious. He just has a great personality, and throws out some nice on-the-fly jokes. I also like how the rest of the crew is really funny too......when John's not there, they actually do a pretty good job of filling in for him. Although I must admit I miss many of long-gone DS crew members.

I think they're both great, but there's something about Jon Stewart that just cracks me up.

John Stewart is amazing. I have loved the show since the beginning but Stewart just takes it away.

The show itself is better tailored to Stewart's comedic timing...

They've won Peabody awards, will win Emmy's come Sept. This is simply the best written, most consistent show of its kind on television. Stewart is at times, hilariously over the top but always has that sharp, acerbic tongue that puts an average joke over the edge. And Steve Carell should get something, if for nothing else the Slimming Down with Steve segments which are criminal.
