Well, it's time folks...time for the weekly SFU thread...
If you have not yet seen this episode, read at your own risk!
Another great episode I must say. I found it simply hilarious when David kept on talking to the dead gang member. It really added some more dark humor to this pitch black show. I was practically laughing on the floor when David went all off on the blonde-haired corporate guy in the restaurant. When he was through threatening the guy, David said "I think I'm gonna' throw-up." I don't know why, but that was a very funny line. What'd y'all think?

Where the ... what the ... I swear this thread wasn't here when I posted mine. Strange ... well, like I said, I liked the episode. David going off seemed a little hokie to me, but I liked most of the rest of it. Even tho all the acting is great, Rachel Griffiths and Peter Krause are stealing this show.

Guess I'm the minority here. I thought it was the best one yet. Every episode has been outstanding so far. I really find myself hating to see each week's installment end.

I enjoyed it, other than Brenda doing the nasty 3 times an episode, and the plot twists winding down a bit. Seriously, I get the idea that those two perform the nasty a lot. Fine, cool - need we be reminded this often?
Also, the major story twists are closing shop quickly and need some new ones to replace the old. Otherwise we as the audience just watch these folks stumble about their daily lives.
David bursting out of the closet to Mom is a whole 10 seconds entertainment, Brenda won't be charged for Arson since her boyfriend isn't a rat,
Missing foot - done
Fire across the street - done
Claire's drugs - done
Claire's toe suck - done
Brenda's Intro to family - done
David come out of closet - partially done
Evil funeral Corp closing in - enough already, ZzZz

The show doesn't need plot twists to be successful. Good character development can carry a show a long way, and these characters are interesting enough that I want to know more. And there's still plenty of development left on previous threads ... Brenda's family, Nate's personal demons, Claire's problems, the mom's affair, that chick that keeps showing up at services. While I wouldn't want the show to become this, the acting is strong enough, and the characters are developing well enough that I would be content to watch them bumble around for an hour.

I also thought this was the best episode so far.
Anyway, I'm glad I've continued watching (the first episode didn't do much for me). The acting is great and I really like the show's look. I was also happy to see director Lisa Cholodenko's name in the credits; her High Art is one of my favorite films of the past five years.

I loved it when the mother walked in on Nate going down on Brenda.
"I guess dinner is ready."
LOL!
I have never seen anything like that in movies or TV before. The funny thing is Brenda wasn't embarrassed at all, but the mother acted like she was going to die!

"Are you deaf?" Bwah-hahahahahahahaha!
That and David's "promise" to the creepy Kroner dude at lunch was the highpoint of the show for me.
I literally LOL'd and snickered at that whole scene.
I like the way they craft the death of whoever dies that week into life-affirming actions for the characters.

I find HBO dramas somewhat overrated but usually compelling ie....Sopranos
Occasionally though this network comes through and I find
SFU to be the brightest spot on tv right now.
best episode yet!

So what's that weird high-pitched voice lady who loves to touchie feelie on David, doing at the funerals?
She was gonna steal the jewelry off the corpse after funeral was over, maybe?

This show is really good, I hope they can keep it up.
I think that weird chick at the funeral is a "funeral groupie". After David kicked her out, she glanced at the newspaper announcement she was holding and crossed off the gang banger's funeral and circled another, presumably to attend next.

That's exactly what I said!
