Goodbye Pee-Wee, Hello Troy?

Well, tonight's the debut of the latest primetime gameshow: ABC's You Don't Know Jack, based on the snarky PC trivia game...
I wouldn't be too interested normally, but I'm curious about the host. Paul Reubens stars as "Troy Stevens," a new fictional persona like Pee-Wee Hermann. It could be lame beyond words, or it could be more hip than anything on TV in ages.
Anyone have any first impressions based on ads, tapings or whatever? Anyone care to stick their neck out ahead of time as to what it'll be like? Should I bother?

If it were on Comedy Central or somewhere else, I'd be hyped about it. Paul Reubens is a genius and the game is good, so it could really work out. Unfortunately, ABC will comepletely ruin it. Expect lots of lights and stupid keyboard sounds, and following the recent trend, expect the questions to be insultingly easy. Still, I'll give it a shot just because of Paul.

Not bad. I'd watch it again. I wouldn't go out of my way to do it, but if it happened to be on...

I'll put it with most of my other games shows like Weakest Link, Millionare, etc.
I'll watch if I'm channel surfing and come upon it with nothing else on my watch list for that time slot.
But I won't go out of my way to make sure I catch it like a lot of series shows that I'll record if I'm not around.
I did "enjoy" the show though.

I happened to catch parts of the show. The show may have potential with the irreverant questions like "Clint Eastwood Movie or Condom Brand?", but I didn't find Reubens to be that funny.
Many times you could see the contestants give a forced, nervous laugh like they didn't whether they wanted to laugh or not.

I like the YDKJ games and I love Paul Ruebens and I thought the show was enjoyable. Probably because of Paul Ruebens though. Why don't they let you pick the questions like they do in the game? That part bothered me. However the $2,000,000.00 question is great. The contestants looked worried because he took so long. I will watch it again.
