"Band of Brothers" is basically a 10-part miniseries following the exploits of an American troop in Europe during WWII. From all indication, this looks to be one hell of a massive monster. I simply cannot wait for the DVD release, and I'm hoping it has filmed in widescreen.

Quick correction for ya-
Spielberg is an executive producer, but not directing any episodes.

I believe Tom Hanks will be directing Episode 5, which will deal with the platoon facing off against SS Troops. Now that should be sweet.

Yes, I am so pumped for this one. After watching Tom Hanks talk about this on the interview on the Cast Away DVD, I am eagerly awaiting this miniseries.

I'm sure it will be incredible. The premier got excellent praise, and considering how good From the Earth to the Moon was, I do not expect to be disappointed. $pielberg as executive producer is little more than him lending his name to the project for more press, but that shouldn't take away from how strong it will likely be. Michael Kamen will be scoring it, so expect more derivative music that sounds eerily like Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves ... still, I'll be glued to my TV for the whole series.
