Additionally, someone named Joshua Alba was credited in the show. Anyone know that was?

No time travel yet. She was fighting a clone of herself. She is an X5 generation. The clone was an X7. Basically, she as fighting the kid that appears as her in the flashbacks to when she was a kid.

Way too fast for me...
I wish they would have stretched this out to a two hour season finale... I thought alot of things were rushed, and could have been taken slower or just extended.

I guess I'm the only one who thought the season finale sucked....
Like I posted in an earlier thread (http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=109009), I've been pretty disapponted with this show as a whole.
This season finale may have been the straw that broke the camel's back....I think I'll be hard-pressed to watch this show again next season.

Of the two endings in that show, one of them looked like it could have been the ending for the series if it had been cancelled. Even Lydecker had a place in that ending and the writer gave Lydecker a VERY POETIC throwaway setup that I don't think Max could have known about (Lydecker was dressed in a trenchcoat [what irony with regards to what he really wanted to do with his life!!! heh heh] and he also was sitting at the end of the bar in that pose [what irony with regards to what he wanted to do as a career] and he also was reading that ********* book [what irony!!!! heh heh]). Nice understated way of addressing Lydecker and his future and showing Lydecker was pursuing his first dream as he mentioned in a prior episode.
Since Max wouldn't have known that and other throwaway details, I figure that ending in the bar was the alternative ending for the series if it had not been renewed for the next season.

Now that Max have Zak'z heart, does it mean that on the the next season:
- Max wouldn't have any love interest towards Logan?
- Max will comeback as a meaner X5?

I have to agree, that was a good finale. I really liked that fake-out ending. Thought it was going to end really cheesily.
I didn't much like Dark Angel at first (even though I never missed an episode-blame it on Jessica Alba). After about six episodes I thought it would stay kinda crappy and I contemplated not watching it anymore (I just couldn't take that crappy "jive" talk they kept doing), but the last four episodes have been pretty good and the show's getting much darker in tone. I especially liked the episode where Max has to kill an X-5 at the end. Hopefully, next season will stay on track with these last few episodes.

I liked it too. Although I'm still a bit confused why the "happy" ending was in there. When I saw the preview, it showed Max shot and wounded on the ground with Logan so of course I knew something was up when everything seemed all good and happy with a LOT of time left in the show. Maybe it was just a time killer? Either way, I hope this show returns next season as it is my 2nd favorite new show.

The show IS returning next season. Fox ordered a whole season. Unfortunately, they sentenced it to death in the Friday, 8pm time slot.
Its a shame,

I can't believe I missed this episode! Somehow my VCR was set up one hour too early, and taped "That 70's Show" and "Ground For Life" Ack! Thanks for the recap, it sounds like I missed a doozie of a season finale!

I liked it. I was trying to figure out the happy ending at first. I like the show overall and I'm going to stick with it. I don't get why they moved it to 8 pm with the adult content it has.
I was bummed that they killed Zack and also would have liked to have seen them use someone else's heart. What I'm wondering is Lydecker going to know that Max is still alive?

Well, the final ep screened last night in Blighty and I got to see those "two" endings. On reflection I'd say that the show that aired might just as easily have been the very final episode had the series not been renewed: the scene in the bar would have been just a little too saccharine an ending for a series with Dark in the title.
Did anyone think it may have been an oblique homage to Brazil?
Spoiler:
Shilex, I don't understand your point (also made by others in a separate thread) about the street language. It doesn't seem too far removed from what you see in modern-day documentaries i.e. people speak like that now.
elektra, I have to say that I disliked Zack as a character and had little time for him. Background aside I saw him as a bully and not someone who evoked sympathy. He also too often was used as a "plot coupon" i.e. returned to save the day like a magic sword or something. Sorry, but good riddance I say!
