Is "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire " gettting desperate? Fist it was the annoying celebrity versions of the show for charity. Now it's couples? Do they at least have differnt type of couples(gay, bisxual, lesbian, transgendered, hetrosexual) or are all hetrosexual? So is this TV show getting desperate or what? What happened to the $2 million dollar prize? Tonight it's only $1 million dollars? Is anybody watching this TV game show that won't go away? Between this show and "The Weakest Link" ,it's no wonder I hate prime time game shows?

Why get so pissed about them? It sounds like to me you spend way too much time either watching these or thinking about them for someone who claims to hate them. I don't care for them either, but do you know what I do? I simply don't watch them. Very easy.
I am tempted to use the line from Hamlet about "doth protests too much." You rip on mainstream films and television, but then you go and see them anyways and constantly harp on the television shows.

If I am ever going to see something like "Sunshine","pollack","memento" & "The House of Mirth" and many other movies I have to buy the DVD!! I do not have the option to see these at my city's movie theaters or my county's movie theaters either! Mainstream movies go round and round on a merry go round! it's no wonder I do not go the movies much here! Maybe if I had a greater selection of independent, foreign and documenntary movies myself and others sick and tried of mainstream movies would return to our local movie theaters, until that day happens why bother even going to the movies?

DVD Talk Godfather & 2020 TOTY Winner
I'm real excited about their "all-idiot" editon that starts Sunday. They're bringing back contestants that couldn't even make it to the $1000 plateau. I smell a ratings bonanza! Who'd bother watching the season finale of The Sopranos when you can watch a bunch of morons fail for a second time?
Somebody kill this show, please!

I don't watch this show much, just come across it surfing if there's nothing else on. But I saw the ad for the 'idiot's edition' and that looks pretty promising.
The couples are kind of odd, and none of them seem to do very well (at least the show I saw.) They're kind of funny to watch though, you can usually pick out who wears the pants in the family. I swear there have been questions that one of them knew the answer to but they let the 'smarter' one answer incorrectly. Too funny.
