In the 2 part episode "The Call", in which Superman asks for Batman to help find the sabatour within the Justice League, Bruce tells Terry to
Spoiler:
take the krypotonite because this wasn't the first time "Superman has gone rouge."

Can someone please explain when this has happened? I'm thinking it maybe part of a comic book storyline.

yeah, they never really explain this scenario. my best guess is that at some point between the ending of batman:tas and the begining of batman beyond, there was some problem between batman and superman. it's probably nothing but an explanation to the reason why bruce had the kryptonite.

Bats and Supes were NEVER truly friends.

They are obviously the opposites sides of the same coin.

According to the comic, Superman gave the kryptonite to Batman because he was the only one he trusted to have it.

Anyone ever read Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns"? The storyline in there could be one explanation. (And if you're a Batman/Superman fan and haven't read it...GO GET IT NOW!!)

And quoted from http://www.tomorrowknight.com/episod...callpart1.php3

"Bruce mentions that "This isn't the first time Superman has gone Rogue." He is referring to the the series finale of Superman: The Animated Series where Superman is controlled by Darkside and uses him to attack the Earth."
