This is being reported by Aint-it-Cool-News. Although these guys are not always reliable, I have a feeling this is gonna happen. More backlash from the Buffy-UPN ordeal.

Here's a link to the article:

Yeah, I figured this. There was even speculation as to whether it would return this season. That'd be cool if it moved to UPN though.

if roswell is cancelled, my mother will be devastated. talk about fans outside the age demographic. i am probably older than the target demographic, yet my mother looks forward to this show more than i do every week. i should call her and console her.

I completely lost interest in this series as soon as they broke Max and Liz up and brought that "Tess" person on the show.

It just continued to nosedive thereafter.

I actually thought it was a great thing to add to the story line. Watch what these people have to go through when they follow the destiny chosen for them. Of corse it's also good to see what happens between the royal 4 when somebody chooses something different (like Isabel going to college).

And how can you hate Tess? She's hot.

While I'm proud of my Buffy/Angel obsession, Roswell is my favorite "guilty pleasure" show.

I hope it moves to UPN, since the FOX cancellation seems like an almost done-deal at this point. They're not even showing new episodes in the proper order--a clear sign shows FOX is no longer trying to build an audience, and doesn't care about their relationship with the show's producers.

While the individual episodes have always been hit-or-miss, the one thing Roswell always got right (besides casting) was the central metaphor. Like Buffy it uses its supernatural elements to take a fresh look at the normal teen angst of feeling alone, outcast, etc...

Last year, Now & Again got my vote for most frustrating cancellation. I guess this year, it'll be Roswell...

Wow! I thought I was the lone person over 18 who watched this as a guilty pleasure! Well, besides Willard Scott and the other pedophiles.....

I'll hate it if this show is cancelled and not bought by another network. It's one of the few shows I watch.

If the rest of the season is as bad as the one on tonight....let it GO!

PS: Alien baby my A$$!!!! You do NOT get pregnant the 1st time...
Seriously, that girl has GOT to go. Maybe Max's vision of a wedding in Vegas is his SECOND marriage....

I LOVE Roswell--my only beef with the series is that the writers push the storylines too fast. The alien pregnancy would have been a great storyline to pull through a whole season. Instead they're pushing it through in just a couple shows.

I predict that Tess will get shipped off to the homeworld to save the babies life, but everyone else will stick around on Earth.

I really hope someone picks up this show!!!

Per a Paramount exec on May 8th...

"Looks like UPN is going to get Roswell after all."

Now, remember, this was a studio exec, so you must take into account the lack of oxygen to the brain.

But it sounds close to a done deal.

I sure hope the exec is right. I too like Roswell and hate to see it go.

Weird. Buffy, Angel and Roswell were the only three shows I watched on WB.

If they're all three going to make the move to UPN then I might as well take WB off my channel lineup... Goodbye, froggy!

After tonight's preview of the next episode it looks like the show is gone indeed. And while I'd love for UPN to pick it up, it will be a bit difficult if the main characters really leave Earth next episode.

But, considering the standard preview techniques, they probably won''t. By the preview I actually thought tonight's episode will be some intense alien showdown leading to the culminating last episode of the season (or series)....
